the opportunity to delve deeply into Alzheimer´s Disease, Taupathology, and Diabetes Mellitus. With the
assistance of my supervisor, devised and conceptualised experiments in accordance with the research
project. I´ve learnt to organise practical work on my own and improved my communication skills while
working with limited time and resources. In addition, this assignment gave me the opportunity to evaluate
and comprehend data on my own.
Pharmacology:
With this module, I learned about the molecular basis of drug action and the role of calcium as an
intracellular messenger. I gained knowledge of nanomedicine and how modern molecular techniques impact
drug target characterization and the drug development process. This module provided a chance to critically
evaluate the role of genetic variation on drug action (epigenetics).
Health Research and Bioethics:
I learned how to think about, evaluate, critically review, and present facts or information in a scientific way. I
learned how to use a range of data analysis, statistical, and literary databases in the presentation of the
research project/data given. I can develop and write a research proposal for a certain study topic. I also
gained a grasp of ethical problems related to bioscience research.
Neurophysiology:
I learned to analyze functional neuroanatomy at an advanced level and to delve further into the molecular
and cellular bases of neuronal development and cell death. Can also discuss about some of the multifaceted
molecular mechanisms that underlie some neurological and psychiatric diseases in humans. This module
provided sufficient knowledge on the benefits of mammalian cell cultures and their application as models of
neurodegenerative illness, which I utilized in my research study on Alzheimer´s disease using the SHSY5Y
cell line.
