Apart from the main factory requirements for which materials plan sent to the supplier / agent directly, my role begins with issuance of Proforma, banking, insurance, shipping coordination, wharf and transportation to the warehouse.
Rainco Group has a cluster of sister companies for which I coordinate the sourcing / samples and then the imports coordination.
In brief I interact with foreign suppliers, local service providers etc. in this role of SCM - Supply Chain Management.
Began with Asst. Manager role, later promoted to head the Dept.
KACS is a pioneer company in the food industry in Saudi Arabia and their business began during the 'golden era'of Saudi oil booming period. They laid claim to hold agency for renowned brands of U.S. Europe Australasia ( Australia & New Zealand ) including the famous "Kraft" dairy products, specially Canned, Cream Cheese.
I relocated to Sri Lanka in 1999
