• Driving cost savings & ensuring a continuous supply of direct materials such as aluminum extrusion, brass products, plastics & glass from North America & overseas sources
• Establishing a product innovation team with Operations and R&D, to maintain a competitive advantage, through a focused expansion of new supply sources & supplier development
• Optimizing inventory levels as well as forward planning demand forecasts through segmentation, JIT, Consignment & VMI, in collaboration with Sales & Planning
• Enhancing working capital & optimizing supplier payments by aligning closely with Accounts Payables

• Streamlining processes & managing ERP as the Super User for Oracle Purchasing
Worked for 2 work terms in Supply Chain Management with the Purchasing Department at the J.D. Irving, Limited Head Office. My key achievements included:
• Leading a Six Sigma project to streamline the MRO Group contract management process
• Negotiating inter-company agreements including Group PPE, IT Consumables, as well as largest MRO supply contract for the sawmills in the United States
• Successfully managing the Sourcing & P2P process for assigned categories
• Achieved the highest consecutive monthly cost savings & conducted more reverse auctions for a student at the J.D. Irving, Ltd. Purchasing Group
• Awarded UNB Co-op Student of the Year for job & academic performance as well as particular contributions to the organization & the community
