Manage and support database administration team and database administrtion operations
Duties & Responsibilities:
“Managing Oracle (9i, 10gR1, 10gR2, 11gR2) and SQL Server (2000, 2005, 2008) Database and all its issues “ in addition with Managing and leading Database Team .
Design Plan Implement Database consolidation to reduce Licenses (Oracle, SQL Server)
Upgrading Oracle databases to the latest versions
Upgrading SQL Server Database to the Latest version
Databases Patching
Implement Databases High Availability solutions (Data Guard, Oracle RAC, SQL Server Clustering, SQL Mirroring )
Implementing Oracle Enterprise Manager 12c grid control to manage oracle databases and monitor other databases “SQL Server, DB2”
Database Performance tuning
Design Physical database architectures “Data Files Distribution, Table space designing”
Leading Database administration Team to achieve database administration objectives
Collaborate with Development, Infrastructure, Application support teams to solve database issues, and insure database high availability and stability
Contribute in technical Evaluating and selecting SAN storage
Contribute in technical Evaluating Backup solution for the Bank
Part of Database consolidation Machine Technical evaluation team (Oracle Exadata, IBM Power series servers , IBMz, HP-UX servers)

Installation, configuration and upgrading of Oracle database software and related products
Installing, configuring Upgrading MS SQL Server 2000, 2005
Evaluate Oracle features and Oracle related products
Establish and maintain sound backup and recovery policies and procedures (Oracle, MS SQL Server)
Take care of the Database (Oracle & SQL Server) design and implementation
Implement and maintain database security (create and maintain users and roles, assign privileges) for ( Oracle & SQL Server)
Database tuning and performance monitoring (Oracle & SQL Server)
Application tuning and performance monitoring
Setup and maintain documentation and standards
Plan growth and changes (capacity planning)
Work as part of a team and provide 7x24 support when required
Do general technical troubleshooting and give consultation to development teams (Oracle, MS SQL Server)
