- Responsible for managing and optimizing all end to end procurement activities within the company.
Sourcing & technical mapping of Material requisitions from the Sales team to the correct suppliers/OEMs.
- Sourced a high value Cable for a Cement plant in UAE with Precise technical specs given by the user. (2024)
- Execution of RFI/RFQ/RFP (Request for Information/Quotation/Proposal) and bidding process, minimizing risk and maximizing value in terms of quality, delivery and total cost of ownership.
- Expedite and fulfill procurement requirements of the sales team within reasonable period.
- Source specialized/end of life cycle components/goods without identification based on personal site visits along with sales engineer or sample provided.
- Bid analysis & Negotiation to select the best suitable vendors based on price, delivery and specific adherence criteria.
- Purchase orders management encompassing creation of PO's, delivery time monitoring and material inspection as per technical data based on test reports, certificates, Manufacturer plant visits, etc.
- Liaising with Finance department on invoice payments, credit notes, cost revisions and invoice suspensions.
- Facilitation of necessary documents, certificates related to Customs & Logistics for smooth flow of incoming supplies from overseas.
- Established strategic supplier partnerships with Electrical Switchgears, Flow meters, Membrane & MBR Module manufacturers resulting in cost savings at estimation stage translating to Bid wins.
- Sourced a Critical Turbine Shaft Coupling with Precise one to one Technical mapping for an Indian Hydel Power Plant who were facing challenges in identifying the same. (2021)
- Ensured precise One to One mapping of currently installed machinery/plant equipment/spares which is now discontinued, with new generation equipment and spares with same or another brand so as to ensure smooth transition and keep the plant process running without affecting machine performance.
- Guided the sales team to target those Goods that End Users found difficult to Source, which enabled us to secure Government Tenders in Single Source Bid category with no competition at all.
- Instrumental in creation of a New Vertical in the firm catering specifically to the Power Generation sector Namely the largest entity in the state, RVUNL (Thermal & Hydel Power Plants).
- Sourcing In-charge for complete Procurement requisitions for Four Sales Verticals; Study the technical requirements of the enquiry/tenders and assign to the procurement coordinator handling that specific set of Suppliers.
- Management Reporting on Day to Day Operations on Procurement and mapping them to Sales performance.
- Devised specific Sourcing strategy as per product groups, application of the Goods and timeline of the End User.
- Developed a trusted and knowledgeable network of Local Vendors at favourable terms that helped us save time in Purchase of Miscellaneous Goods like Electrical Consumables, Hardware Consumables, etc.
- Generated additional cost-savings for the company in Logistics by employing alternative shipping methods & partners as compared to earlier pre-defined methods.
- Quotation preparation & Purchase Orders Evaluation, Important liaison between the Logistics department & the Sales Manager.
- Part of the core ERP implementation team of the new ERP i.e. EPICOR 9 - handling end to end process mapping of requisition to RFQ to Order to Receivable to Delivery & module masters management, Print form designing using SAP Crystal Reports at functional level.
