Responsibilities: -
• Designs mechanical and electromechanical products and systems by developing and testing specifications and methods.
• Evaluates mechanical and electromechanical systems and products by designing and conducting research programs and applying principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer, and materials.
• Perform engineering calculations to support design work
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams, and work with vendors and contractors
• Perform detailed documentation to track project development and design process
• Ensure project timeline is met and project stays within budget
• Solicit observations from operators
• Prepare product reports and documentation
• Engage in lifelong learning and develop new theories or methods
• Developing, initiating and managing all phases of projects
• Preparing documentation of critical analysis and providing suggestions for correcting errors
• Collaborating with Project Managers for proper allocation and tracking of resource

• Inspect cranes, hoists, and other WHE to diagnose source of trouble, dismantle or partly dismantle WHE and perform repairs that mainly involve the use of hand and power tools Replacing broken or defective parts with items obtained from stock, and ordering the production of a replacement part by a machine shop or sending the machine to a machine shop for major repairs
