ATLAS is an internal software procedure of the German Customs Administration.
With ATLAS tariff registrations and administration are replaced by electronic messages
(EDIFACT). Thus the customs clearance and treatment of tariff are automated, simplified
and accelerated. Anyone who needs import or export can use softwares certified by
German customs for sending electronic messages for above purpose. And the J2EE project
in which I am working now is one of these kinds and has been certified by German
customs .BEO ATLAS is one of the leading software in Germany .It also provide high
security and more user friendly. The system is divided into different modules like Exports,
Imports, Versand, Parcel, EMCS, Sendungbildung, Faktura and NCTS.
Responsible for:
* Develop the code as per client requirements.
* Create routing algorithms according to forwarder specification.
* Create logic for message creation according to the forwarder specification.This involves creation
message in the form of EDI, XML etc.
* Work closely with the clients in the analysis and development for each iteration in the release cycle of
the module.
* Unit testing.
* Fetching and exporting queries of receiving message.

Operations and Support
o Daily system monitoring, verifying and reviewing all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes etc.
o Regular security monitoring to identify possible disturbance, performing daily backup operations.
o Investigating and troubleshoot all issues related to IT infrastructure for internal teams or clients using telephone/emails etc.

o Maintain operational, configuration, or other procedures. Performing regular updates and upgrades as and when necessary.
• Provisioning
o Install new / rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements of the company/client
