QUANTITY SURVEYOR
*Quantity Surveyor (QS) normally provide a report to the Project Manager or Project Director (Giver Duties) and provide advice in decision making processes throughout the project management from start to finish.
*A Quantity Surveyor (QS) must be through, competent and good at making estimates of cost and project cost control, administration is one of the duties and responsibilities of QS, QS profession while also often charged with the loyalty and integrity to the company where he heads.
*As a Quantity Surveyor (QS), you must to make and present the exact quantity of works, (no more, no less)
: DESIGNATION AND ASSIGNMENT
QC INSPECTOR
*Coordinates with supervisors during progress of all works and provide information required for the submittal of RFI as per the approved ITP.
*Reporting to QC Supervisor carries out the inspection of works completed by the execution department or sub-contractors and suppliers as directed by QC Supervisor.
*Ensure that every work must follow the relevant method statement and ensure that the materials used are approved by the consultant/client.
*Take care of all quality measures during execution of works and give correct instruction to all workmen about quality aspects as required. (Ex. Rebar spacing, concrete cover using vibrators, curing etc.)
*Check all works during the progress whether it comply related specification and standards.
*Report any deviation to the required specification/standard to QC Supervisor.
*Report inspection findings and ensure sub standard activities are rectified, where applicable and found necessary issue a non-conformance report to ensure action/quality is addressed and rectified and to prevent re-occurrence.
*Check all works thoroughly with quality checklist provided along with ITP'S prior to client inspection.
*Check specification drawing latest revision status before carry out every inspection.
*Provides support to the execution in arranging the testing of materials and workmanship as required by the specification and drawings.
*Coordinates with the execution to ensure that all required testing has been performed and that acceptable results have been achieved.
*Give advises to execution staff on quality deficiencies detected during in-progress inspections. Assist and advice as to the requirements and remedial action that may be required and follows up to ensure that all necessary action has been completed prior to release of final acceptance.
*Ensure that suitable qualified and skilled personnel are employed to carry out the work.
*Ensure that correct tools and instrument are used and calibration status is maintained.
*Monitor the performance of the supervisors and labors to ensure that the quality levels and workmanship are of the standard required for the project.
*Ensure Manufacturers procedures were followed during execution of the work.
