My responsibilities included but were not limited to:
• Responsible for the day-to-day operations of residential buildings, student staff and activities.
• Supervise, train and evaluate resident assistants under the direction if the Complex Manager
• Responsible for overall administration and operation of their assigned buildings.
• Working collaboratively with all the area staff in housing to create and maintain a living and learning environment that is conducive to personal development and academic achievement.
• Assisting in implementing a safe, caring community by providing supervision, community development, leadership and administration.
• Supervise, train and evaluate resident assistants under the direction of the Complex Manager.
• Interpreting and implementing UAE University and Office of Residence Life/Housing objectives, policies, rules, and procedures for student staff (RA) and residents related to residence hall operations.
• Serving as RLC-on-Duty on a rotating basis in an on-call rotation schedule after hours.
• Assisting in the housing check-in and check-out processes including room inventory and room inspections.
• Working in conjunction with the Complex Manager on the processes and bill residents for damages.
• Communicating facility needs, maintenance and repair needs to the Student Affairs Facilities Management Staff as well as to the Khadamat Company and following-up with the progresses as needed.
• Communicating custodial needs with the contracted vendor (custodial/cleaning department) and following-up with the progresses.
• Conducting evaluations of the programs, staff, and quality of students' experiences.
• Conducting the appropriate attendance check of students’ pre and post weekend visits home in conjunction with Senior Resident Assistant (SRA).
