I taught English Second Language from year 7 to 11 over a two and a half year period. I coordinated grade 7 and 9 English. I set the year plans for both grades and did the daily and term planning. I set assessments which I graded and reported to the parents the students progress each term.
I taught Computer studies for the first 3 years. I then became a Primary Class Teacher. I coordinated The English Learning Programme and the Natural Science Learning Programme. I was assistant to the grade head, helping with administrative tasks. I planned lessons Set formative and Summative Assessments each term. I graded classwork, Scientific Practicals and all assessments. I was responsible for daily communication with parents as well as Parent/Teacher consultations each term.
In a dual medium school, I coordinated and taught English, . I also taught Afrikaans, Natural Science and Social Science. I was responsible for the English planning for grade 6. I also set all the Formative and Summative Assessments. I graded all assessments of the subjects which I taught. I was responsible for reporting to parents each term.
I taught and coordinated the grade 9 English and Grade 12 Life Skills. I did the macro and micro Year Planning for English Home Language (L1). I did the daily Planning for English and Grade 12 Life Skills. I set the Formative and Summative Assessments for grade 9 English. I graded all the assessments and reported on the students progress each term.
I taught English to grades 9, 10 and 11. I coordinated, planned and set Formative and Summative Assessments for grade 10. I graded all assessments for the grades which I taught and reported to parents each term.
I taught Grade 9 English and Life Orientation. I coordinated the Grade 9 English Learning Programme, did the macro and micro planning for English, set Formative and Summative Assessments each term and reported on the students progress each term.
I taught and coordinated Biology to grade 10, 11 and 12 and grade 9 Natural science (Biology and Physics). I coordinated the grade 9 Natural Science and grade 10 Biology. I did the Year Planning, set the Formative and Summative Assessments for both afore mentioned grades and, graded all assessments of the subjects and classes which I taught and finally, reported to parents on the students progress each term.
I started out as a grade 6
class teacher, coordinating the English Learning Programme. I did the Year Plan, half way through the year. I did the daily Planning for English, set the Formative and Summative Assessments, graded all the subjects (English, Afrikaans, Natural Science and Technology and Social Science) as well as reported my students progress to parents each term. The following year - 2002 - I taught English and Natural Science to grades 7 and 8. I coordinated the English, did all the planning, set Formative and Summative Assessments and reporting to parents each year.
This is a degree course consisting of English and Literature, IST and Linguistics. My main major is English Studies based on English Literature and analysis. Linguistics focuses on the components of Socio-linguistics and Psyco-linguistics.
This course included 10 modules focusing on English as a second language through Business English, One-To-One and Online Teaching and In-Person teaching. All four skills, vocabulary, elocution and pronunciation, lesson planning and presentation.
A qualification to teach English as a Foreign Language to Adults. It incorporated every aspect of teaching from profiling a students to designing lesson plans, creating learning materials and planning for inclusion with consideration for varied learning abilities and learning styles.
This cause initiated as a Higher Diploma in Education which was equivalent to a B.Ed. The first 2 years had a strong focus on English Language and Communication which is a prerequisite for teaching in South Africa. The final year focused on the majors, Biology A (Zoology) and Biology B (Botany). It also incorporated IT or Computer Literacy. the curriculum focus was both the previous rote learning curriculum and the newly introduced student lead, inductive methodology teaching curriculum.
