• Evaluates Fire alarm equipment and system performances and take necessary actions.
• Conduct scheduled periodic inspections of fire alarm systems, deluge and sprinkler systems, fire pumps, clean agent fire extinguishing systems.
• Responsible for supervising the day to day activities of Fire System Maintenance Technicians.
• Responsible and ensuring maintenance of Fire Equipment & System utililized by company Maintenance Section for protecting Kahramaa assets & premises from accidents and hazards and ensuring personnel and assets safety.
• Oversees and helps with conduct of inspection to identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustment or repair and to ensure the compliance with company code of practice and also ensure that are well maintained.
• Diagnose malfunction Fire Safety equipment, apparatus and components using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct problem.
• Oversees troubleshooting of fire system problems or resolves queries that arise during Maintenance and repair of Fire Protection & Fire Fighting Equipment System and provides relevant advise to concerned personnel on protecting the assets premises and control unforeseen damages.
• Responsible and conduct annual testing of fire protection systems during the PPM program carried out.
• Maintain records of all the related documents inspection, audits, PPM.
• Participate in pre-commissioning and commissioning of all fire protection systems equipment.
• Assist Engineer for fire system maintenance in making annual budget related to fire and safety maintenance.
• Assist Engineer for fire system maintenance in preparation of tender contract documents & scope of works, tender technical evaluation and new project commissioning related to fire system maintenance.
• Works in cooperation with Quality & Insurance Continual Improvement on securing and maintaining ISO 9002 certification.
• Carries out and ensure the compliance of all activities within the facilities management department is in line with the company health and safety regulations.
• Adequate knowledge of NFPA 10, NFPA 12, and NFPA 13, NFPA 20, NFPA 25, NFPA 72, and NFPA 2001.
• Responsible for weekly, monthly and annual inspection, testing and performing preventive maintenance and repair of all plant firefighting equipment in accordance to NFPA and company standard.
• Supervises & conducts periodic inspection and maintenance checks of all Fire Protection & Fire Fighting Equipment as per schedule.
• Rectify and troubleshoot of Fire Pump Control Panel, Electrical & Electronics Controls System.
• Inspect and maintain of Fire Detection and fixed fire protections systems such as Wet systems, Deluge, Dry Systems, Fire Hydrants, Fire Extinguisher, Fire Extinguishing Systems, and Foam Systems.
• Inspect water pipes, valves, outlets, hydrants, fire water monitor, hoses, etc. that are part of the firefighting systems periodically, for damage or deterioration to assure their functionality.
• Perform assigned maintenance, filing, testing, and inspections of Fire Protection equipment and systems throughout the company. Participate in fire equipment audit/testing and inspections as requested.
• Inspect, operate and test both electric pump and fire engines pump by weekly basis to ensure its operability at all times and check the required pressure and the engine condition.
• Inspect and test of safety shower and eye wash to check the cooling system.
• Coordinate with fire protection contractors for inspections of fixed fire protection equipment and fire extinguishers.
• Review blueprints and plans and conduct inspections and acceptance testing of newly installed fire protection systems in order to meet the fire safety codes.
• Provide required support/services during training, and GAS drills, overtime, shift coverage and call-outs.
• Provide required support/services in maintaining the fire training ground in state of readiness, conducting fire and rescue training for Operations, Maintenance. ERT and other company personnel.
• Conduct periodic inspection and maintenance of Self Contain Breathing Apparatus (Scott SCBA).
• Perform duties in accordance to public safety, fire and rescue standards and internal work procedures.
• Perform any job-related activities as requested by the immediate supervisor / manager.
• Familiar with FACP brand Notifier NFS2-640, NFS2-3030, NFS-320, Notifier AFP-400, Notifier AFP-300, Notifier AFP-200, and RP-1001 & RP1002.
• Comply with EH&S guidelines and overall safety process.
• Adequate knowledge of NFPA 10, NFPA 12, and NFPA 13, NFPA 20, NFPA 25, NFPA 72, and NFPA 2001.
Responsible for inspection, checking, testing, performing preventive maintenance and minor repair of all plant for firefighting equipment and system in accordance with NFPA company standard.
Responsible for testing and commissioning for new installation.
Participate in fire prevention and protection training programs.
Perform maintenance work on various types of portable firefighting equipment.
Responsible for supervising installation, testing and commissioning for fire alarm, FM200, Fire Fighting and deluge system.
Check any corrective and preventive maintenance of Fire Alarm, Extinguishing, deluge and sprinkler system.
Direct supervision of mounting and installation of related materials associated with fire alarm, water sprinkler, deluge system, fire hydrant, fire hoses, fire water monitors and Post indicator Valve.
Check, test and monitor for diesel fire pump, and electric fire pump and flushing the hydrant.
Direct supervision Install and Maintain of fire detection system equipped with gaseous clean agent suppression system as FM200, CO2 and LPG-IG-100, Inert Gas Nitrogen system.
Direct supervision for cable pulling, glanding and termination of MICC cable and FP200 fire alarm cable, testing and commissioning.
In charge supervising of conduit installation, loops checking, Cable testing, and meggering.
Plan, organize and coordinate the construction site.
Layout and Mountings of fire alarm and firefighting equipment..
Supervision of Electrical, fire detection and fire protection system.
Prepare equipment and material estimates for projects and/or budget purposes.
Inspect, operate, and diagnose problems and perform preventive maintenance and repair work on electrical equipment.

Operate all types of mobile and stationery fire pumps at required pressure and flow
Perform Preventive Maintenance and Inspection, Testing and Maintenance of All Fire Alarm System to ensure compliance with regulations and standard of the code.
• Perform Installation, Commissioning and Troubleshooting of Gas Detection System.(Portable, Stand-Alone & Fixed-System).
• Installation, Commissioning and Troubleshooting of Fire Suppression System.
• Responsible for Operating and Maintenance of Different Devices.
