Review project specifications or contractual requirements on material specifications, welding consumables, welding process etc. for the preparation of welding procedures and qualification of welders.
Prepare Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS’s), and

Review project specifications or contractual requirements, material specifications etc. for the preparation of welding procedures.
Prepare Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS’s), and Welder Qualification Test Record (WQTR’s) in accordance with the applicable codes/standards and Client Specs. & Requirements such as ASME- IX, and ASME B31.3 / B31.1.
Monitor the production process from start of production until completion to ensure these welding processes are being implemented or conformed with the approved welding procedures.
Prepare Hydrotest package for hydrotesting.
Attend meetings and interface with clients regarding all Welding and Quality related issues.
Review project specifications or contractual requirements, material specifications etc. for the preparation of welding procedures.
Prepare Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS’s), and
a full offshore company with main office in Abu Dhabi UAE engaged in the installation of Sub-sea Rigid & Flexible Pipelines, Tie-ins, Risers, Top side Piping, Hook ups, SPM’s & Sub-sea Manifolds, CALM Bouys and other sub-sea structures including pile driving/installations of SPM anchor piles in the Oil & Gas Industry.
Overall in-charge in the development and preparation of welding procedures / Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS’s), Welding Procedure Qualification Test (WPQT) and qualifying welders accordingly in accordance with the applicable codes/standards, project specifications / requirements (Ex. Welding Processes - SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, SAW etc.).
Responsible for the review of all relevant contract project specifications, documents, drawings, procedures, materials, equipments / instruments calibration certificates, project consumables etc. related to the development or preparation of welding procedures and Inspection & Test Plans including sub-contractor’s procedures, equipments, and personnel qualifications /certifications (ex. Non-destructive Tests which includes RT, UT, MPI, PT and Destructive Tests) to ensure welding process / processes being proposed are conformed with contract requirements.
Responsible for directing these operations associated with welding and other type of joints that are completed in accordance with the appropriate contract documents, codes, and applicable standards to produce a satisfactory product.
Liaise / interface with client in all welding related issues including but not limited to welding processes, materials, welding consumables, type of welding machine / equipments, etc. and other technical issues from award of contract until actual project initiation to completion & pre-commissioning.
Preparation of
Facilitate the effective implementation of the Company Quality Management System (QMS)
Continually improve the level of awareness of Company Quality management system and its requirements
Validate the continued effectiveness, adequacy and suitability of the management system through management system review and audits
Facilitate Continuous Improvement Program
Provide effective client liaison on quality management aspects
Facilitate customer satisfaction initiatives
Monitor Preventive and Corrective actions
Regularly consult with project teams to provide direction and assistance for quality management activities
Seek and share best practices
Development of the internal audit program
Ensure that Project, site and departmental Quality Inductions are carried out for new recruits
Ensure that appropriate levels of quality assurance and control are applied
Preparation / Review of the Project Quality Plan
Co-ordinate and review subcontractor Quality Plans
Identify / Review the training requirements of staff
Follow company
Carry out welding inspection of heavy structural steel structure / built up sections for high rise buildings (Ex.Box Type Columns, Beams, Girders etc.) fabricated from heavy wall thickness plates from 75mm - 150mm in accordance with Japanese Industrial Standard (JIS) and client specifications.
Check and review welding procedures and monitor welding parameters during welding stage. The welding process being used are ESW & SAW.
Dimensional checking of completed items as per approved fabrication drawings.
Witness NDT and review results for final acceptance prior to release for paintings.
