Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
 Obtain the necessary information upon the first meeting or reception such as name, address, age, and the primary complaints of the patients and other pertinent supporting data.
 Assess the patients to identify appropriate nursing interventions, which include vital signs that are taken at rest, such as the blood pressure, temperature, pulse and respiratory rates, weight and height.
 Must be able to perform various sensory requirements such as; vision, speech, smell, manual, dexterity, fine motor skills and hearing in order to assess and treat the patient accurately.
 Collaborate with the members of the interdisciplinary heath team (laboratory, radiology) to plan, implement, coordinate and evaluate patient care in consultation with the patients and their families.
 Administers medications as ordered
 Monitor, assess and document the limitations that the present condition imposes on the patient’s ability to function.
 Operate or monitor medical apparatus or equipment properly.
 Assist in surgery and other medical and dental procedures.
 Develops and implements discharge planning process on admission of patients.
 Teaches and counsel their families in the health-related issues in collaboration with other health care providers.
 Maintains nursing supply inventories by checking stocks to determine inventory level and anticipate needed supply.
 Assists in the organized process of discharging patients.
 Comply with all the facility policies and procedure, while upholding the high expectations of Alhayat Medical Center.
 Accountable and responsible for each specific patient assigned while under the direct supervision of the facilities Charge Nurse and / or House Supervisor.
 Is punctual and dependent for the assigned/ confirmed shifts.
 Is flexible in performing nursing skills and can easily adopt in various settings/situations ward task as assigned by supervisor.

 Gathering of data about the patient’s complaints and status

 Total patient care and safety secured
 Insertion of Intravenous fluids
 Administration of medications as prescribed
 Vital signs monitoring
 Preparing instruments for operation
 Assisting physicians to minor and major operations
 Health Education rendered
 Assisting patient to perform activities of daily living
 Documentation of activities done to the patient

 Home visit to pregnant patients and performing prenatal check-up with the help of the midwife
 Immunization of babies
 Assisting doctors doing medical mission
 Health education rendered to the community
 Assisting the midwife in the community settings during the delivery of baby
 Monthly report to the public health nurse about the mortality and morbidity rates in the community we are assigned
