Reporting directly to HSSE Manager (Head Office) and administratively to the Project Manager (Sites).
Ensure compliance to legal requirements.
To coordinate and organize safety meetings and record the minutes of meeting.
Advice the execution team and suggest the right way to maintain clean and safe areas of work.
Assisting in evaluating the method statement, work procedure and carry out of risk assessments.
Identifying any deviation from set standard practice / conditions and suggest corrective measures.
Preparing and submitting the monthly safety inspection report to the Project Manager and the HSSE Manager.
Arranging safety training and safety education for the employees and staff.
Reporting all accident, near miss incidents and dangerous occurrences immediately to the Project Manager and the HSSE Manager by phone and later by a written preliminary report.
Guiding the accident investigation team in case of severe accident, dangerous occurrence and prepare the accident report. Finding out the root cause of accident and suggest the remedial measure to prevent the reoccurrence of the accident.
Assisting the Project Manager and the construction team in handling emergency situations and implementing the emergency preparedness plan.
Conducting HSE trainings on a weekly basis for first line supervisors, engineers, etc. and assist them in conducting toolbox talk to the entire workforce.
Conduct safety induction to all new employees and subcontractors, maintain safety records, attend inspections with statutory authorities, conduct internal inspections and issue permits to work.
Conducting internal audits on site and coordinating with external audits for ISO 14000 & 18001 Standards.
