Ultimately responsible for achieving company sales and marketing objectives for the manufactured range of cookware products.
Duties & Responsibilities;
Develop sales and marketing strategies.
Brand and new product range development.
Product selection, procurement and pricing.
Key accounts management (retail chain stores).
Price negotiations and collaboration with buyers to expand product range.
Website and product packaging development and design.
Market intelligence.
Digital marketing and e-commerce (Website, TAKEALOT and ONEDAYONLY).
New business development.
Ensure high levels of customer service and visual merchandise standards in
instore.
Prepare monthly sales and marketing reports for the CEO.
Responsible for achieving company K.P.I’s, sales and gross margin objectives for
homeware accessories (Market hall H.F.B’s) for stores across 3 countries.
Developing sales, product range and price strategies aligned to company business goals,
IKEA leadership businesses and long term priorities.
Product selection and procurement of market specific products (Free Range).
GPS (Gross profit simulation), demand planning, pricing & IKEA catalogue preparations.
Ensure high standards of; customer service, visual merchandising and product
range presentation.
Secure that stock is available and promotional campaigns are launched in each country
as per the commercial calendar and IKEA recommendations.
Sales steering as per IKEA business objectives.
Conduct regular store visits and preparations for operational reviews.
Competitor analysis and customer home visits.
Co-worker training and development.
Reason for Leaving: Relocated back to South Africa after 8.5 years in Kuwait.
Responsible for achieving K.P.I’s, company sales and margin goals whilst maintaining
optimum stock, merchandising and customer service levels.
Work closely with the furniture department to grow IKEA leadership businesses and
focus on long term priorities.
Develop business plans, sales strategies and commercial calendar with the store
management group.
Plan department re-builds with Com. In to optimize the customer shopping experience,
improve range presentation and sales.
Launch seasonal and promotional activities in-store as per the commercial calendar.
Sales steer to maximize sales volumes and profitability.
Increase sales by driving add-on sales and utilizing market relevant free range products.
Lead, train and develop sales co-workers.
Develop incentives, succession plans and talent pool with HR department.
Manage the entire store operations as duty manager on weekends & peak trading days
