I have been given an opportunity to convey educational concept through innovative approaches and to create my own teaching materials as a form of practical project in order to help me with my teaching experience.
Subjects studied included; Organic, Inorganic, Physical, Analytical and Forensic chemistry, Handling Chemical Data, Electrochemistry, Polymer Chemistry, Spectroscopy, Stereochemistry, Bonding and Symmetry, Photochemistry, Surface Chemistry, Environmental Chemistry, and Kinetic and Mechanism, and Laboratory work in all Chemistry areas. My final year project, entitled “The Growth and Characterisation of Native Oxide and Sulphide Films on CdxHg(1-x)Te (CMT)”, involved the examination of the growth of the oxide and sulphide films on CMT by an electrochemical method. The layers of the film formed were characterised using various techniques such as electroanalytical, linear and non-linear optics.
