Establish, implement & direct sourcing strategies & best practices for all procurement for Honeywell and carry out negotiations, contracting and purchasing activities to create optimal value.
Set up, cascade and monitor implementation of Honeywell Kuwait strategic direction aligned with global goals; oversee Procurement and Supply Chain activities complying with Honeywell’s procedures and executed in timely manner; endorse all commercial/contractual commitment under the Prime Contract; and ensure availability of owner infrastructure on the scheduled dates.
Design and lead the supply chain strategy of Honeywell. Responsible for a variety of supply chain functions including but not limited to purchasing, inventory, transportation, logistics, planning and scheduling. Playing a key role in creating both the operational and strategic direction for the supply chain operations. Also oversee contracts drafting, evaluation, negotiation and execution, non-disclosure agreements, purchasing and basic ordering agreements, sub-contracts and consulting agreements.
Pro-actively generating leads and establishing a solid network across the Supply Chain & Distribution industry, including but not limited to the below activities:-
• Calling, arranging and attending meetings with prospective clients in the region.
• Negotiating contracts and closing agreements with clients.
• Managing the entire recruitment process and prioritizing workload.
• Qualifying client requisitions by interacting with all the stakeholders.
• Keeping record of all activities using the Honeywell’s internal software.
• Undergoing monthly reviews and quarterly Appraisals
• Reaching assigned KPI's and Financial Targets
• Undergoing continuous in-house and professional training
Managing Projects using the three basic elements of project management:
Schedule, resource and costs.
Fully responsible supporting the General Manager in order to operate and maintain the Computerized Operation Management System for projects budgets’ revenue & actual cost using Oracle.
Responsible for the automated operational management, planning, costing, procuring, coordination and evaluation of the overall projects Budget and support services in order to meet the assigned profit, mission, goals and objectives and in compliance with international and standards of practice within the industry.
Responsible to control projects document, analyze, retrieve and monitor the Projects’ Managers data; this will include accounts data handling, Materials Expenditure, and Risk and Safety Management.
Prepare/ Review Purchase/ Material Requisitions for procurement for Oil & Gas projects & provide recommendations on Requisitions, RFQs, POs and contract documents. Maintain relevant information on projects: schedule, resource & costs providing analysis and feed back on the Procurement status.
Plans, reviews and /or undertakes comparative cost analysis of bidder’s quotations & conducts pre-bid meetings for various Purchase Orders. Negotiation on bids and claims settlements.

My main duties involve the maintenance and repair of container handling and general cargo handling cranes. These include, Reggiane (Italian), Gottwald (German), Stothert and Pitt (British) and Eberswalde (East Germany). The Gottwald mobile cranes are powered by two Detroit diesel engines model type GM 16V92T - 630 Kw at 1500 r.p.m. The container cranes are the latest generation equipment and rely heavily on the use of modern thyristor systems and are supported by P.L.C. diagnostics.
Dealing with different types of cranes gives me a good understanding of international drawings and technical standards. As an Engineer within the port, I am frequently required to act as Duty Engineer, thus controlling the remaining Engineers and all maintenance personnel, I report directly to the Engineering Superintendent, thus frequently I have to make major decisions unsupported, together with typical Engineering functions of stock control, purchasing, safety issues, preventative maintenance scheduling and implementation.
Additional broad based skills have been improved, during my part-time work, as an installations engineer with a local company. This work has involved installing, commissioning and testing for final approval by the Ministry of Electricity and Water; all associated electrical equipment encountered in major buildings and civil projects.
Full time Volunteer Electrical Engineer during the Iraqi invasion to Kuwait. My duties involved solving problems in control rooms or power rooms in the flour mills and carry out essential repairs. This was the only operational plant of its type during the invasion and was heavily relied upon by the population of Kuwait.
