•Identifies leads, manages prospects and acquires new, profitable commercial and industrial business.

1. Strategic Planning
a) Advises internal clients in the development of external communications strategies that support the
overall strategic direction of the College
2. Internal Communications (Proactive and Reactive)
a) Interviews internal clients and write news releases, articles, editorials, publications and other
written communications pieces directed to external audiences
3. Media Relations
a) Acts as the front line office to receive calls from media. Works with Manager, Corporate
Communications to determine appropriate action, deals with requests and follows-up as necessary
b) Develops and pitches story ideas
c) Responds to and organizes requests for media experts and speakers on a wide variety of topics
d) Maintains networks with media contacts

•Responsible for identifying and accessing various requirements for marketing and public relations support across the department
