• Contracts Engineer and primary advisor to the Project Manager & Project Key Personnel about the contractual rights and obligations for major EPIC projects.
• Reviewing & administering the legal aspects of the contract with Client & all Sub-Contractors involved in the project.

• Monitor the Company & Sub-Contractor’s Advance Payment Bank Guarantees, Performance Bonds, and Insurances, etc.
• Raise Insurance Claims for any instance of non-conformance & incidents.
Major Accomplishments in projects:
Successfully raised, estimated & liaised with Dolphin PMT for the approval of additional $8 Million in the project by means of Change Orders/ Variations.
Successfully granted a time extension of 4 months to the contract by means of regular notices & schedule impact submissions.
Accomplished successfully the Company’s management’s goals by means of re-negotiating existing sub-contracts due to the drop in Oil Prices.
Raised 2 succesfull claims due to damages arising out of excess rainfall & accident at sub-station.

Trained to carry out Cost, Manpower & Equipment estimation for Shut-Down Tenders and EPIC projects.
Obtained valuable knowledge of estimating direct and indirect costs to ensure a comprehensive proposal with minimum risks and liabilities.
Lead a team of 5 Engineers for detailed equipment studies & Manpower requirement for HABSHAN & BAB, AL Hosn Gas, Shell GTL, ENOC & TAKREER.

Project: Abu Dhabi Gas Company Turnaround Shutdown train 1& train 2, Das Island, Abu Dhabi.
Management and execution of all shutdown related activities such as Blinding / De-Blinding, Valve/ Equipment replacements or repairs, Piping works, heavy lifts etc.
Creating work packages and allocating manpower resources while maintaining close coordination between all disciplines.
Some of the key highlight activities of the Shut-Down Area allocated were:
1. Steam turbine driven booster compressor overhaul.
2. Heavy lift and replacement of 14T intermediate cooler heat exchanger.
3. Replacement of demisters, internal cleaning & NDT inspection of suction drum for sour gas line
4. Titanium bundle heat exchangers and surface condenser replacement
5. Fin fan coolers overhaul, NDT, Hydro-testing
6. Control valves, PSVs, ESVs & NRVs overhaul
7. Piping modification of 20" sour gas line
Project Client: Qatar Aluminium.
1. Complete execution of jobs pertaining to preventive maintenance such as inspection, repair & replacement of pipelines essential to plant activity, overhauling various rotating equipment also crucial for the plant.
2. Carrying out emergency work orders (Plant shut-down) to reduce down time & job completion within the strict time-frame.
3. Managing a workforce of 86 people to perform various jobs & meeting contract based manpower supply requests by clients.
4. Responsible for all Site surveys for new tenders floated by client & preparing detailed technical reports for the bidding process.
5. Design, Material requisition, Equipment mobilisation, Planning, Cost-control, Manpower management & Execution to carry out all awarded tender based jobs such as:
• Removal & overhauling of 4ton steam extraction fan with dynamic balancing and replacement of bearings, shafts and dampers
• Hydro-testing alumina tankers & performing thorough inspection of weld seams.
• Refurbishment of motors & gear boxes of all conveyor belts inside the plant.
• Design & Fabrication of new 4” annular pipelines for inter-plant process flow of reacted alumina powder using compressed.
Project Client: Qatar Fuel Aditives (QAFAC) Turn around shut-down 2014
1. Managed all shutdown activities of total 136 work packs for “Utility” plant.
2. Reviewed in detail the scope of work involved, created method statements, manpower requirements, planned job sequencing and material requisition.
3. Removal of Valves, PSV’s/PRV’s, Heat exchangers & overhaul of boilers, Reactor vessels & Storage tanks.
4. Overhauling & inspection of submersible sea-water pumps, axial pumps, centrifugal pumps & high volume positive displacement pumps key to plant operations.
5. Created Isometric drawings for fabrication in pre-shutdown activities. Cross-referenced isometric & GA drawings for various work packs.
6. Planned & executed time critical repair jobs for 16” Natural Gas, 6” C4 Butane & 4” C5 Pentane OSBL pipelines which included:
Insulation gasket replacement for CPS (cathodic protection system)
Partial line replacement (based on corrosion testing) Insulation removal at pipe sleepers for corrosion testing
Sand-Blasting
CAPS inspection & UT for wall thickness
Re-painting/ Re-insulation
Hydro-testing 7km, 4” butane pipeline
Pneumatic testing
• Was recognized and lauded by QAFAC engineers for handing over the OSBL pipelines 1 week ahead of schedule.
Project client: QAPCO (Qatar Petrochemical) Furnace & Tank construction
Job Description:
1. Created test packs based on GA drawings issued by client.
2. Lead a team of 16 people to execute piping erection on furnace 3, 4, 5 & 6 to complete a total of 523” Dia in the allotted time of 3 weeks.
3. Created Daily Welding Reports (DWR’s) for completed piping activities.
4. Cross reference piping Isometric drawings with site specifications & to create “as-built” drawings for the jobs executed.
5. Punch-list clearance based on feedback by client engineers.
6. Attended daily meetings to discuss progress & tackle technical difficulties.

Worked as a Trainee Engineer at 2 on-shore oil rigs GD1 and GD4 in Dukhan where i widely acquired knowledge in the following fields:
Drilling : Drill heads, drilling equipment, well heads.
Piping : Well pipes, Product line piping
Geographical survey : Resource (Oil and Gas) surveying
Preventive maintenance : Maintenance of all Mechanical Equipments (pumps, motors, drill shafts, drill heads and compressors)
