Employed as the Project Controls Manager (Long contract) my responsibilities include but are not limited to: Project schedule maintenance and monitoring, Milestones and Engineering progress, Documentation, Procurement, Billing, Quality Review, To monitor the progress of sub-vendors and sub-contractors with regards to schedule and delivery, To work with Project Manager closely and support him in risk and opportunity management, To prepare timely and accurate internal and external project progress reports. I am currently working on EPCI of ICSS Ikike Platform (OML 99) Project of Total Exploration and Production Nigeria Limited.
Engaged as the Consultant Project Controls Professional (Part-Time) to be responsible for Project Planning, Scheduling and Progress Reporting; Making Input into valuation and certification invoices and invoicing: Participating in Monthly Progress Reporting; Planning, monitoring, and integrating the procurement schedule with the integrated Project Schedule; Generating Progress Monitoring System (PMS) for the entire project; Flagging slippages and any other incipient show stoppers on the project execution and coming up with prevention or recovery plan(s); Estimating Resources and ensure there are sufficient resources to execute the project: Visiting the site from time
to time with a view to ascertaining that the project is progressing according to plan.
I was engaged on the project ·construction of 2 X 5000m3 LPG Tank Farm, Jetty and LPG Handling Facility at ljegun Egba, Lagos belonging to AA Rano.
(short contract) to make suggestions for improvements to project operations as needed. I constantly monitor and evaluate each step of a project to ensure that it is meeting budgetary and deadline goals. I report to the project manager
Responsible for: Development and implementation of project schedule and plans for Trading facilities project of the Dangote Refinery and Petrochemical Company, management of change and invoicing programme through the development of project schedule, cost plan and monitoring and collection of cost data to ensure conformity with the requirement of top management’s budget directives, cost tracking, forecasting and financial and general project reporting
to discuss the progress of each project and talk about staffing needs, schedule changes, project scope adjustments and more. I oversee the project budgeting, scheduling and generate project reports. I suggest and manage change and orders in project processes. I forecast project goals and completion. I apply specialised tools, mechanisms and software in project planning, cost controls and progress measurement during the project execution. I report to project manager and integrate other departments as well. I am currently working on Tanks Repair & Upgrade (TRU) project on the Detailed Engineering Design Services for Chevron Nigeria Limited.
Consultant (Project Planning and Management). Responsible for: rollout, planning, and management of Turnkey Project; Setting up of project management office processes and procedures; taking responsibility for the delivery of projects, managing the realistic project, quality, and risk plans, Lead projects through a complete lifecycle, Control team performance, Control of resources and costs against the project budget, ensure that all projects are accepted and closed by the customer, provided completed documentation, Provide feedback on projects team members. Develops and manages the project plan, including project scope. Development delivery schedule, resource requirements, and integration efforts. Develops and manages communication plan to include content, frequency, audience, and channels. Works with
Responsible for the review of contract documents for each construction packages and approve construction schedules submitted by contractors ensuring that they are in compliance with the overall project schedule; review the Contract documents for each Construction Package and advise the Projects Controls Manager of any deficiency; review and approve the Construction schedules submitted by the Contractor, ensuring that the Construction Schedule are in compliance with the overall project schedule; review and approve the procurement schedules as submitted by the Contractor and ensure that the procurement schedules are in compliance and are coordinated with current construction schedules; review and continuously monitor, against approved schedules, the Contractor’s major construction progress and ensure that equipment and manpower are adequate or in case of any shortage, report to the management; review in detail the recovery schedules as submitted by the Contractors and ensure that manpower and site supervision staffs are increased properly; conducting regular visits to project sites to ensure that the progress of work on site is in compliance with approved schedules, whether major milestones have been met and report deficiencies to the management; review all daily, weekly and monthly reports as submitted by Contractor and report to the management on any deficiency or non-compliance; review any claim involving time impact as submitted by Contractors and report his assessment appropriately; review field design changes and Trend Notices and assess time impact, if any; attend weekly progress meeting and monthly Executive meetings and participate in preparing the agenda; review the commissioning plans as submitted by Contractor and ensure its compliance with the approved construction schedule.
I worked on the project “Upgrade of Transcorp Hilton Hotel Abuja to Hilton Worldwide Standard”
Responsible for leading project planning exercises, preparing and maintaining EPC project schedules for capital projects, ensuring the appropriate level of planning and scheduling functionality is applied to support project controls activities through all phases of capital projects. Assisted project team in the resolution of issues involving cost, schedule, and changes; established & maintained common methods and standard reporting format for management reports, reviewed schedules prepared by contractors to ensure an appropriate level of details and structure were applied with a view to ensuring effective progress monitoring and project control. Ensured schedules generated for projects were fully integrated and resource-loaded in order to ensure the accuracy of projected staffing requirements; provided necessary coaching to planners to ensure the development of job plans which could be transposed into a workable schedule that accurately linked required tasks and specific resources that are necessary to complete an identified work scope; ensured compliance with industry procedures and practices; obtains data on project progress, logic, and manpower from Project Leads, contractors or other projects/plant personnel. Reviewed and validated expected milestone dates on new projects assisting in the setting of milestone targets as required.
Conducted project schedule review meetings and assist in developing alternatives to accommodate changes to project plans and communicate any deviations of the current plan to the project team.
Led management of bid submissions through its complete cycle; spearheaded the application/renewal process for registration with industry regulating bodies; Act as the clients’ contact point during the bid process which includes raising and responding to queries, presenting the bid, and negotiating with the customer as required; handled problem management and resolution of issues arising throughout the project lifecycle.
I have worked on EPCI of Ovade Ogharefe Flowstation Upgrade Project belonging to Pan Ocean Oil Corporation; EPCIC of SEME Onshore Production Facility belonging to South Atlantic Petroleum (SAPETRO), the Republic of Benin as well as the 40, 000 Bbl capacity storage tank facility at Oredo, Edo State belonging to Nigerian Petroleum Development Company Limited (NPDC) and EPCI of API620 50, 000bbls Capacity Project Crude Buffer Storage Tank with ancillary facilities at Amukpe, Sapele, Delta State, Nigeria belonging to SEPLAT Petroleum Development Company Limited. I also started working on the construction of the 360MW Greenfield Power Plant at Ologbo, Edo State; and the Construction of Ethanol Production Facility at Abe Community, Edo State.
Seconded to Femab Properties Limited, Lekki Lagos - Owner of Diamond Estate, Peninsular Gardens, and Crestville Estate. I was responsible for leading a multi-disciplinary team to deliver on the construction project objectives and also for managing the heavy construction projects and estate development of the organization throughout its lifecycle; from initiation to closing. This includes the deployment and adoption of global project management best practices. I was equally responsible for setting up of virile PMO and Project Controls Processes in the organization. I worked on the construction of well over 152 units of fully detached and semi-detached duplexes Diamond Estate and a high-rise building at Oniru Lagos. I also worked on the construction of road networks in Diamond Estate, water reticulation, and installation of water treatment plant; Installation of street lighting and as well as installation and commissioning of 33Kva Transformer in Diamond Estate. I have delivered the First Bank Plc Promo building and some other privately owned buildings in the same estate. I have also worked on Peninsular Garden and Crest Ville Estates all located in the Lekki and Ajah axis of Lagos, Nigeria.
Responsible for Project management and planning activities ranging from Scheduling, Project Costing/Estimation, managing customer relations, project progress measurement, reporting and presentation to executive management on project status, attended to Project issues and meetings, coordinating project proposals and contracts, Responsible for rollout telecommunication projects beginning from Site Acquisition for Turnkey (RF/ BSS/ BTS / BB / SDH Transmission/MCS) site implementation to site handover. I worked on the construction of various Celtel turnkey Site Build (Base transceiver station Infrastructure and MSC) projects at Enugu, Asaba, Taraba, Porthacourt, Nasarrawa, Taraba, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, and a Backbone site in Bauchi and Uyo. I have also worked on over 50 BTS / BB Sites Build Projects, belonging to Celtel. I worked on Celtel 20 Million Subscribers Project, Celtel Generator Swapout Project, and INALA SAM2 Swap-out project in various locations within Nigeria. I have worked on over a hundred BTS, BB, SDH, and Repeater site build and implementation belonging to ETISALAT via Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN) and Nigercell at various locations within Nigeria. I have worked on 243 Barti Airtel Nigeria Backbone and Base Transceiver Infrastructure sites construction in various locations within Nigeria.
Responsible for Project controls and management activities ranging from project scheduling, Project Costing, Project Estimation, project execution and control, project status reporting, Project Planning, Project progress meetings Coordination; kick-off meetings, Preparation of Cost of Work Estimate and Contractors Cost of Work Estimate, Cost Time Resource, Time Sheet, Manning Table, Progress report, project tracking using S-Curve, earned value system, critical path method, and other PM methodologies, taking minutes of project meetings, manning Risk Register; risk Management, budgeting, Project progress measurement, and time management. I also played pivotal roles in the preparation of bid and tender documents for upstream oil and gas projects of multinational oil companies, including HAZID and HAZOP reviews.

I played an active role in the training of the senior staff of various Parastatals of the Federal Ministry of Health (i.e., Nigerian Ports Health, Federal Dental Clinic, etc). These comprise the Medical and Paramedical staff as well as the senior administrative staff of the Department of Petroleum resources (on a part-time basis). and corporate training in Project Management mainly for Oil & Gas as well as IT/ICT. I also undertook Computer hardware and software installation and maintenance, systems engineering, Computer networking (LAN/WAN/MAN); Website design and management; Software design; Systems analysis and design as well as Cyber consultancy.
I was an Industrial Attaché posted to the Deputy Manager Maintenance Office. I was involved in Project Controls and Management (ranging from Project Planning and Scheduling, Estimation and Budgeting, Costing, Risk Analysis, and management); computerized job resourcing; Preparation of bid and tender document; preparation of Bill of Quantity for civil, mechanical, electrical, corrosion, telecom and Instrument at various locations of the company’s office and sites; Preparation of Project documents and work permit e.g. Tender Letter, right of way (R.O.W.), etc; General project logistics and office administration and management. The work exposed me to several HSE training with regards to storage tank cleaning and vandalized pipeline repair activities.
Responsible earlier on for manning the company’s stock inventory and eventually rose to the position of database officer after having obtained some practical computer training, overseeing the company’s database and systems. I also undertook the general office administration.
Responsible for field supervision of various National Surveys (e.g., National Survey of establishment and industry, Agricultural survey); Computerized data analysis, data representation, research, carrying out scrutiny on the inputs of the enumerators and forward the result to the scrutiny department for final analysis and scrutiny. I also manned the Reverence library of the State Office when not on field.
