• Acting in the capacity of Access & Mobility BU-Project Purchase Head to ensure timely supplier induction and readiness (development, FAI, ramp up) Doors and PSD
• Ensuring adherence to global terms and condition including NDA, supplier frame agreements & supplier quality requirements as established and governed by group’s policies and procedures
• Facilitating the development of supplier strategies by implementing the porter five competitive forces to understand market dynamics for critical commodity, through Kraljic Approach to determine the supplier panel and share the status of preferred, maintain, investigate, and exit
• Monitor Economic Indicators macro and micro to track market intelligence and supplier market-industry scenario

Tactical & Commercial Operations
• Evaluating commodity buyers and assisting them in setting up a strong supplier base to ensure timely demand fulfilment of the business
• Managing a wide range of Purchasing & Supply Chain functions including RFQ Management, quote analysis & negotiation for various projects/part development
• Forecasting and sharing the demand for ongoing parts in coordination with Global Lead Commodity Buyers and Plant Buyers
• Developing and fostering strong networks with suppliers by visiting them regularly, attending domestic fairs and staying updated on supplier market
• Representing India in Global Purchase Meets organized in Europe and maintaining relationships with Global Site Purchasing Managers
• Leading a staff of 10 members; mentoring & training them to enhance their skills & productivity; addressing escalations shared during weekly staff meetings; developing capacities within high potential individuals to take up senior roles

Additional Responsibilities: Project Purchasing for Acess & Mobility-Metro train
• Ensuring adherence to retro plan, APQP planning as well as on time availability of parts for prototypes and pre-series as per project plan; ensuring Forecast at Completion, Balance to go and managing risk & opportunities.
• Supervising the implementation of all savings (4P plan) to achieve the predefined savings.
• Working on upstream, launch studies and price estimation during tender phase; preparing back-to-back clauses i.e. specific requirements LD
• Managing the purchase function for QCD right from tender to start of production; ensuring effective purchasing cost control
• Monitoring the Lead Buyer’s Team to float RFQs to selected vendor panel, selecting the supplier in coordination with SQA, Project Manager, Technical Leader and Lead Buyer
• Identifying areas to improve contract margin of the project and monitoring monthly status of the Margin Improvement plan for multiple projects.
• Deploying Group Standard APQP in coordination with the SQA; conducting technical reviews with technology partners, Supplier Quality, Engineering and Supply Chain; managing the transition from project to production phase with Industrialisation audit, PPAP and sign off acceptance criteria for production parts.

 Global Sourcing
• Strategizing supplier base capabilities & capacities for Development and sourcing of castings, forgings, fabricated, machined parts, satellite components and rubber parts for valve industry and managing the relationship.
• Responsible for creating sourcing transfer funnels with plant purchasing/sourcing Leads across the high cost countries and executing as per project/program plans.
• Business case analysis and management sponsorship for the transfers and the part of the global foot print Team for Strategy formulation according to the Global Production capabilities.
• Maintaining the Market intelligence for cost inflation avoidance strategy and communicate with sales and marketing, Finance, Top Management
• Experience in Sourcing and developing supplier for Exotic Steel grade Castings, Forgings, Fabrication and fasteners as per European and American (PED/EN/ASTM/IBR )standandards

 Indirect Sourcing
• Responsible for Indirect Sourcing for India and maintaining the spend and supporting globally(10 countries for different Plants/offices) for Indirect supplier set up in Proactics(ERP) which includes conducting Vendor assessment and conducting due diligence and then setup supplier in the system i.e maintaining the ASL
• Spend control, PO management as per authority matrix thru proactis-Erp for India and FCPA compliance
• Monitor Service contracts for due dates and Appraisal of the same and examining the saving opportunity increase /tighten the SLA i.e IT services, Travel, etc

 Shared services
• Started the India Shared services for procurement, Order management and Indirect spend control and invoicing
• Handling Intercompany PO placement for California plant and Vienna plant from India by using MK -ERP
• Handling Non critical Commodities such as fasteners and soft goods direct PO placement for US suppliers supplying to California plant
