Designing and implementation of Biometric Infrastructure for HCR & WFP Joint project in Ethiopia Gambella and Dolo office.


1. Re-design the Country Office Network to upgrade existing
Data and voice network

 Prepare specification of the networking equipment;
 Follow up and evaluate the procurement of the
networking devices for the CO Redesigned Network and
all other sub offices.
For the Upgrading of the Country office Infrastructure;
 Configure Cisco 4507 switch as Redundant Hot Standby
Protocol (HSRP), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol
(DHCP), Core and distribution layer protocol
 Upgrade the Up-Link copper cable to Fiber Cable
 Reallocate the PBX from the ground floor to Server room
 Re-Organize Rack arrangement inside the server room
2. Manage the LAN/WAN Infrastructure
 Configure the Firewall interfaces to meet HQ standards
 Configure NAT, Traffic Filtering and other related tasks
on the Firewall
 Upgrade the Firewall Firmware
 Configure, Update, upgrade and Monitor the Wi-Fi
network
 Give support on Windows Server configuration and
upgrade
 prepare active network device specification
 Give Support in IP address assigning of Servers, Printers,
Switches, Routers, UPS, Access Points and other devices
in CO and SO's
 Configure and dispatch network devices like Windows
servers, Switches, Access Points etc. to SO's
 Conduct user support

3. Remote support of sub office
 Configured Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP)
on Cisco Router or APs when RODC fails,
 Remotely configured The Firewall and Traffic filtering like
Social media and YouTube application during work hour
 Remotely monitored and updated the bandwidth
utilization and Firmware
 Remotely managed and gave support on the Local ISP
link When Local ISP problem arise remotely fix it if
possible or liaise to service provider if not.
 Conduct user support
 Configured and installed new Access points, Switches,
Routers for the upgrade of networks
 Actively monitor connectivity and fix problem when
possible or liaise to the service provider.
 Configured, Installed and manage PBX for Voice services.

4. Administering and monitoring the VSAT network
 Do Corrective maintenance (CM) and planned Preventive
maintenance (PM)
 Actively monitor and fix problem,
 Liaise when problem not solve to service provider
 Conduct routine support and maintenance of VSAT
network
 Manage and monitor the availability of the VSAT (Data
and Voice) and FE (Data) network
 Manage and monitor the BW of VSAT and FE network

5. Unified wireless Communication (UWC)
 Planned of the Unified wireless communication
 Design of the Unified wireless Communication
 Prepared specification of Devices for the unified wireless
communication
 Follow up and evaluate the procurement process of the
devices like Controller, and Access Points During the
implementation
 Configured the Cisco CT5760 Controllers
 Configured the Access points to join the controllers
 Configured Windows server for Network Policy and
Security (NPS) for the Unified wireless Communication
 Integrated clients to access the internet and corporate
service with the global credentials Using Wi-Fi access;
 Administer, Manage, Upgrade and monitor the Wireless
Access Network
