Duties: Project Construction Management
- Conduct and submit reports for ES&H and Quality senior management audits to Project Field Engineer (PFE).
- Monitor contractor Quality control program including site inspections for compliance with contract documents, approved submittals and building codes.
- Maintain project safety awareness and enforce company safety policy.
- Facilitate coordination of contractor’s work with third parties, i.e., SEC, MARAFIQ (electrical and water ) or other public Saudi agencies.

- Participate in construction progress meetings, final inspections, testing and commissioning, and preparation of punch lists.
- Review engineering design packages for constructability issues and lessons learned.
- Provide input to the project critical items list as required.
Duties: Project Construction Management
- Attendance to outstanding work lists (OWL) and formal punch list inspections and recording of findings.
- Attendance to Fire and Life safety inspections for closing QCDD (Qatar Civil Defense Department) and KEO (IIA) comments.
- Attendance to the punch list coordination meetings.
- Engaging and expediting the contractor in technical resolution of findings.
-Attendance to OWL and formal punch list re-inspections.
- Processing approval of OWL items where this is required by Team manager.
- Processing approval of Formal punch list items through Punchworks.
- Attendance to Witness/Hold T&C inspections and recording of compliance status.
- Surveillance inspection of T&C activity and recording of compliance status.
- Engaging and expediting the contractor in technical resolution of T&C non-compliance.
-Championing ES&H compliance through attendance of start talks, conducting ES&H tours and compliance checks.
- Issuance of ES&H action notices where applicable and engaging with contractor to re-solve.
Duties: Project Construction Management
- Carry out daily inspections with the contractor to satisfy him that the works are being carried out to the highest levels of ES&H requirements.
- Monitor the works (HVAC, Plumbing and fire fighting) to verify compliance with the relevant drawings and specifications. Record no-conformances, accept satisfactory work and raise punchlist items.
- Monitor progress against accepted schedule.
- Monitor contractor’s plant and manpower usage.
- Assist the Resident Engineer (RE) with review of contractor’s method statements and advice on construction methodology.
- Verity the works are being carried out in accordance with the accepted method statements. Report any non-conformance to RE.
- Advise and assist RE with the coordination of interfacing contracts.
- Interact daily with the contractor’s site engineers.
- Analyze productivity and quality then produce relevant metrics to demonstrate performance.
- Prepare daily construction report and take photographs where relevant.
- Liaise with the field engineers and advice on ITP monitoring points.
- Monitor the testing and commissioning of all major mechanical systems such as cooling tower, chillers, air handling units, pumps, VRV units, FM-200 fire suppressions system, fire pumps and several elevators and conveyors.
- Engaged on the review of final turnover documents, as-built drawings and operation and maintenance manuals (O&M) for mechanical systems.
- Attend and interact on weekly quality meetings, four weeks rolling construction schedules and safety meetings with tours.
- Review all construction Contractors Mechanical/Electrical discipline design submittals including detailed design calculation, design and analysis, construction drawings, installation details, etc.
- Ensure that all design details submitted by construction contractors comply with the client’ requirements specified in the scope of works and technical specifications of the construction contracts and clients engineering standards, Materials standard specification and construction standards.
- Review all “Material Proposals” and purchase orders submitted by construction contractor and shall ensure that the proposed materials comply with clients requirements specified in the respective construction contracts “Scope of Works and Specification”, clients Material Standard specifications and relevant international standards.
- Direct supervision to projects executions of works.
- Maintain quality control procedures for installation of the project and shall monitor all inspection functions associated with such quality control procedures to ensure that workmanship and physical properties of all equipment and materials conform to the requirements of the construction contract.
- Promptly inform construction contractor the rejection of any work or materials not in conformance with the construction contract in writing.
- Report promptly to the client’s whenever a work or material fails to conform to the construction contract.
- Monitor and report to the client the results of the final testing, inspection and checking of the project.
- Provide commissioning assistance to the client.
- Review and comments on all materials and equipment inspection reports, test reports, shipping reports and delivery reports submitted to the client’s by construction contractor and construction contractor’s inspection agencies.
- Inspect construction contractor’s incoming materials for damage and for compliance with construction contract’s technical specifications. If a material is damaged or is not complying with the requirements specified in the construction contract, and ensure appropriate action is taken.
- Hold weekly construction progress meeting separately with the construction contractor to determine work progress, discuss problems, coordinate actions, plan and anticipate future requirements.
- Provide other special reports as directed by the client.
- Provide a monthly construction management progress report containing a narrative description of all mechanical activities performed within the reporting month.
- Assist client during client management review meetings and other special meeting as directed by client.
- Monitor construction contractor’s work schedule. If the actual work completed by the construction contractor is less than the forecast, suggest appropriate action to be taken by the construction contractor.
- Continuously evaluate the quality and progress of work to confirm its compliance with the requirements specified in the construction contract and, if required, shall take necessary action to upgrade the quality of supervision and manpower employed by the construction contractor.
- Witness all field-testing of the project and all components parts of the projects by construction contractor of their appointed inspection agencies in their entirety.
- Review all vendor test data.
- Review projects specifications, references, drawings, and other pertinent documents for the value engineering purposes.
- Prepares shop drawings and materials submittals to be submitted to the client for approval.
- Prepares materials inquiries as per specs, bill of quantities, and materials take-off for all HVAC works.
- Prepares HVAC project submittals/transmittals in consultation with the Project Manager.
