 Involved in Mechanical maintenance of boiler and its auxiliaries, including close monitoring of power generation, raw material availability, routine, preventive, predictive, shut down and breakdown maintenance of Power Plant, keeping the maintenance cost within the budget and assuring 100% availability of the critical & standby equipment’s.
1) Maintenance & overhauling of Boiler pressure parts- repairing & replacement, High pressure valves, Tubular Air Pre Heater, E.S.P., Cooling tower, Ash handling system, Coal handling system, Air & Water cooled condenser, Heat exchangers etc.
2) Maintenance & overhauling of Rotary equipment's like- Fans, Pumps, Blowers, Hydraulic coupling, Gear box, Compressors, Tri-sector APH, DG Sets etc.
3) Condition monitoring of equipment's using various techniques.
4) Preparation of SMP's & SOP's of equipment's with monitoring of KPI's.
5) Inventory management, vendor’s development, Contracts management.
6) Ability to develop & implement Maintenance Management system to improve plant reliability.
7) Plan, schedule & execute major activities like the Annual & Capital Overhaul of Plant well within the planned duration.
8) Good inter-personnel skills, communication and presentation skills.
9) Planning of scheduled lubrication for all boiler rotating equipment’s.
10) Inspection and corrective actions of boiler refractory in furnace and second pass.
11) Inspection, online testing and maintenance of safety valves in boiler as per requirement.
12) Daily execution of TBT (Tool box talk) to down line for safe activities.
13) Re-engineering & modifications in drawings & execution as per requirements.
14) Internal co-ordination with other department’s for execution of job.
15) Ensure general safety precautions as per the company norms.
16) RCA, FMEA & 8D analysis of repetitive/single occurrence failures.
17) Spares procurement, material inspection and Inventory control.
18) Salving and indigenous of spares.
