- Reporting to the HMC Executive Director of Marketing and providing leadership and direct line management to the marketing and event teams, which consist of 10 staff responsible for the delivery of over 100 HMC Qatar Council for Healthcare Practitioners (QCHP) accredited events
- Working directly with HMC Chairs, Chiefs and Senior Officials at the Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) to plan and deliver marketing and events support
- Handling and implementing national health campaigns designed to improve health literacy and raise public awareness
- Managing and continuously monitoring performance of departmental communications projects - setting timelines for project implementation, leading teams and allocating resources and budgets for successful program completion and undertaking annual performance reviews for the team
- Ensuring alignment of communications strategies with departmental objectives and corporate guidelines across a wide range of marketing communications including branding, ATL, BTL, social media and events.
- Maintaining third-party agencies and supplier relationships in relation to events and marketing schemes
- Engaging stakeholders through the development and execution of communication strategies to facilitate change management programs
- Support HMC communications and media teams in assisting with national and international media requests
- Accountable person for the weekly engagement and events schedule for the Public Health Minister in Qatar

Key Accomplishments

- Appointed as an adviser at the Ministry of Public Health in 2016 to lead on common projects between the Ministry, HMC and Primary Health Care Consolidated a plan for onboarding volunteers during the COVID crisis, in addition to managing and launching awareness campaigns targeting multiple audience segments
- Responsible for the marketing and event launch of Qatar’s National Health Strategy, National Autism Plan, National Dementia Plan, Public Health Strategy, National Cancer Strategy (phase 2) in 2017, National Diabetes Plan and National Tobacco Prevention Campaign
- Spearheaded the media launch and community engagement event for the launch of the national CPR Awareness Program Played a key role in the development of the 2017, 2018 & 2019 Corporate Communications Department Business Plan
- Developed the marketing and managed the official opening events for several of Hamad Medical Corporation’s services and hospitals, attended by the Emir of the State of Qatar, Qatar’s Prime Minister and the Minister of Public Health
- Supported a 20% increase in medical education conferences, official openings and health promotion events in 2017 compared to the previous year
- Played a lead role in the delivery of the successful Diabetes and Organ Donation and -supervised the Heart Health and Stroke campaigns
