I have been involved in the provision of audit and advisory services to a wide range of clients in different sectors in the capacities of associate, assisting in-charge and in-charge. I have been involved in execution of various assignments in accordance with International Standards on auditing (ISA), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), various donor reporting requirements and GAAP.
My major competences are in the areas of accounting, auditing, information scrutiny, identifying key business processes and systems, risk management and analysis, report writing, testing of controls, communication, team building, and networking.
As an experienced audit associate within KPMG Uganda, I handled a number of significant clients in the Consumer Industrial Markets segment as well as Public Sector Development and these include; Ministry of Health Uganda, Austrian Development Agency Uganda, Democratic Governance Facility Uganda, Children’s AIDS Fund Uganda and Dan Church Aid Uganda among others.
I also served clients in the Financial Services sector and these include; Liberty Life Assurance Uganda Limited and NIC Life Insurance Company Limited among others.
I had the following responsibilities as an experienced audit associate:
- I conducted financial audits for a diverse range of clients, including corporations, non-profits and government agencies
- I performed substantive testing, risk assessment and internal control evaluations to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- I collaborated with cross-functional teams to analyze financial statements, identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
- I prepared comprehensive audit reports and communicated findings to clients, providing actionable insights for process improvement.
- I assisted in the development and implementation of audit plans, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices.
- I also stayed abreast of changes in accounting regulations and standards to ensure audits are conducted in accordance with the latest guidelines.
