Instructor for different courses for the faculty students (sophomore, civil,
mechanical, electrical, and computer majors) like;
o Introduction to Computers (Windows, Word, Excel, Access,
PowerPoint, FrontPage, Outlook)
o Programming Basics (QBasic, Fortran, C, Pascal)
o Structured Programming Pointers. Recursion. Character
strings. Structures, union, and bit manipulation. File operations,
sequential and random. Functions (call by reference)
o Data Structures & Algorithms Complexity measures and big O.
Elementary data types. Arrays. Linked lists. Queues. Stacks.
Trees: traversal, Binary search trees. Binary heaps, Balanced
trees. Hashing. File Structure
o Object-Oriented Programming (C++) Object-oriented design
versus structured design. Classes and objects. Inheritance.
Polymorphism. Information hiding and abstract data types.
Overloading. Generic functions and classes. Exception handling
- Instructor for staff members and employees who needed computer literacy
support and basic knowledge in MS Office
- Computer Lab Supervisor in the Faculty of Engineering;
o Responsible for the installation and maintenance of the Lab
network (workstations/servers, repeaters, routers, cabling) and
securing the connectivity with the main university servers
o Administrate and manage the entire computer lab and instructors
room area
o Schedule the availability of the lab time slots to meet the faculty
requirement
o Troubleshoot software/hardware problems including the
continuous upgrading of the system and application software
o Handling security and control issues related to proper usage of
the lab by students
o Ensure the continuous renewal and validation of certified
software licenses
- System Analyst;
o Build and develop a database system (using Ms Access) that
managed the graduate students records and archives
o Lead a team for designing and developing a project (using
VB.Net along with SQL) for course scheduling, pre-registration
and advising of faculty students
o Develop and design the preliminary template for the university
webpage, publish and maintain an interactive course registration
page
Occupying Head of Technical Department position was responsible for:
- Designing and supervising the installation of LAN’s ranging from business
offices to banks and multi-branch institutions, starting from cabling and
switching to installing the operating systems (Windows NT, Unix, and
Linux)
- Troubleshooting client-server problems and advising for best solutions
regarding the upgrade and maintenance as required by the clients
- Repairing and replacing components for desktops and workstations at the
basic hardware level (motherboard, busses and cables, ports, memory
components, accessories, etc.)
- Developing the banking system software using Visual FOXPRO
- Maintaining the local computer network that has been run under Novell networking system
- Carrying out the daily and monthly closing and backup procedures on the main server as well as the mirror server
