• Supervise and Manage day-to-day operations including budget oversight and personnel functions for both IT Services and EdTech Services;

• Manage the IT infrastructure of RAK colleges and use current and emerging technologies;

• Provide support for developing online courses;

• Promote and support teaching practices and resources;

• Lead the teams of E-learning and web developers;

• Lead a Team of 11 IT Services Support Specialists;

• Plan resources and evaluate vendor proposals and follow through with tendering process;

• Provide advice and support for academic faculty and technical support staff on technology strategies and materials;

• Provide IT training sessions to the college community;

• Conduct short courses on WebCT to staff and support staff;

• Work closely with senior managers and PD coordinators to identify PD needs for college faculty and staff;

• Plan and prioritize the use of college technology resources;

• Promote and support the development of online materials;

• Supervise and support the development of online applications and intranet websites;

• Maintain a professional awareness of current best practices in the Educational technology field and regularly disseminate information to faculty and senior managers;

• And contribute to the system-wide IT and EdTech committees.
