employees and offices in Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and UAE, and projects in most of the Middle
East countries. As Chief Technology Officer, based in Jordan, focusing on delivery, quality
management and projects management, and involved in the formation of strategic decisions, on market offering and positioning of the company.
• Negotiated the terms of an agreement to implement a large Oracle ERP implementation for a Government department in Jordan and built the entire team.
• Managed the solutions centre - the software development arm of the company with well over 120 resources and 20 running projects of software development, using Microsoft and
Oracle tool, covering banking, hospital management, insurance applications, document
management as well as eGovernment initiatives.
• Led a team carrying out an IT strategy for a bank in Jordan.
• Financial Lead; with responsibility for all banking and financial engagements.
• Managed the successful CMMI initiative, making Optimiza the 1st Jordanian IT company to achieve CMMI Level 3 rating.
• Enhanced the role of Program Management Office (PMO) within Optimiza and oversaw the automation of the PMO operation.

Set up a Business Process Department for Bank in Saudi Arabia. The department was
responsible for maintaining all banking processes and procedures as well as developing
requirements for new projects.
Responsibilities included identifying scope, relationship with other entities within the bank,
defining human and non-human requirements and developing an implementation plan.

Set up and operated a Program Management Office (PMO) for Bank in Saudi Arabia.
Assigned to the bank to set up PMO, and then retained to manage the PMO operation, which
oversaw in excess of 50 ongoing projects and had 20 project management resources. PMO
started as a reporting model, and then moved on to a consulting model and later on to a
managing model.
Responsibilities included: • Devised operating model, requirements, deployment approach, processes and templates.
• Recruited the entire PMO team.
• Reviewed projects documentation (requirements, design, RFP, testing and deployment)
• Provided support and coaching to project teams to help them adhere to the bank's
methodology (SDLC) and to the PMO project management practices.
• Supervised the work of PMO team members.
• Defined the requirements for an EPMO tool, and developing evaluation and selection
criteria.
• Managed the implementation of an enterprise PMO tool.
• Conducted QA on projects and presenting observations and findings.
• Represented PMO on projects steering committees.

Responsibilities:
• Established a software development centre to serve the Gulf region.
• Managed the company registration, identified logistics and IT requirements, devised a

• Managed to sign an agreement with Intel to support their development tools in the Middle
East.

part of Y2K program, for Bank in Saudi Arabia. Engagement included developing RFP,
evaluating proposals and supervision of implementation.
Managed the bank's technical team that was responsible for maintaining and supporting the core banking applications. Responsibilities of the team included reviewing and analyzing
business user requirements, designing, coding, testing and implementing enhancements, and coordinating with suppliers.
Participated in the design and build of the Disaster Recovery Centre.
Manager; conducted Quality Assurance (QA) studies on a number of Accenture projects in the area. The Studies were conducted according to Accenture's methodology and focused on scope,
quality, deliverables and planning. The studies included observations and recommendations and proposed method of implementing the recommendations.

covering design, development, testing and implementation at a UAE bank. The solution
consisted of Retail, General Ledger, Trade Finance and Loans sub-systems.
