Responsibilities

•To minimize network related customer complaints by maximizing Core Transmission Network availability and ensuring best performance of all operational entities in Optical Fiber Transport Network.
•Provide Technical Project Implantation plans for Back hauling and Capacity Expansion for MS-OTN, BTS fiber back haul, 3G modernization, 10G Long Haul and Metro DWDM networks, Metro SDH, Metro Ethernet, MSTP and PTN.
•Responsible for fiber health checks and ODTR traces reporting for proactive network enhancement
•Proposing and configuring different network protection schemes including 1+1 linear MSP, MSP ring, SNCP, PWE APS and Tunnel APS to reduce outages and remove SPOFs (single point of failures).
•Developing strategy and operational leadership for the team of individuals.
•Transport network readiness to cater media request from different customers.
•Cost optimization to reduce per site OPEX by sparing back haul transmission capacity for nonoperational and low revenue sites.
•Plan and execute all activities related to Transport Network and design of the BTS/BSC/MSC/MGW connectivity throughout the region and coordination with vendors i.e. Ericsson, ZTE & Huawei for smooth operations.
•Commissioning of DWDM network as on OLA/OADM/OTM and perform effective power debugging between the Lambdas with Attenuators/EMS to stabilize the network.
•Understand Products, Solution Strategies and implement them under local conditions.
•24/7 technical support to Transmission Operations and Maintenance center.


Projects Highlights

•Lead the 3G/4G Mobile Backhaul Transport Project in South region Pakistan as PTN expert.
•Media readiness to cater packet based Node-B/EnodeB traffic by deploying Huawei PTN 3900 and 3900-8.
•Implemented Dual Homing with PWE3-APS and MC-LAG to protect RNC/EPC Traffic.
•Configured Transport media for 1500*3G/1000*4G sites and cleared E2E path in coordination with Ericsson and Huawei.
•Lead the CM Pak Metro DWDM Project by deploying OSN6800/OSN8800 and OSN7500 in different regions of Pakistan and loaded 10*10G and 14*10GE Lambda for TDM and IP Traffic.

•Optical Network Assessment, Troubleshooting and Optimization for operational capacity of current network such as bandwidth calculation, redundancy, traffic protection in terms of single node failure and service analysis for WDM and SDH.

Projects Highlights

•Implementation and Supervision of PTCL 0255 10GE Project by providing 10GE interfaces in backbone and metro network for BRAS redundancy. Protection scheme was implemented by deploying DCP cards to utilize the luxury of different fiber routes in PTCL’s backbone network consisting of 07 optical fiber rings.
•Vet the design of PTCL 20G to 40G up gradation Project. Delivered the project on time, tested and commissioned the 6*10G Lambdas in PTCL’s backbone for the up gradation of PIE Mega POPs in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad.
•Deployment of OSN 3500 nodes for PTCL USF Baluchistan Phase V Project in North and South region, configured STM-16 links and integrated the chain with STM-64 capacity existing MUX.

Worked on DWDM and SDH projects and maintain National Backbone Network of Pakistan (10G) consisting of Six Optical Fiber Rings.

Responsibilities
• I have hands on experience on SDH (ZXSM S385, S380, S390 and ZXONE 5800) equipment of ZTE SDH series and M900 of ZTE DWDM Series.
• Perform site preparation and site survey along with customers.
• Execute hardware and Software Installation.
• Trouble-shoots Transmission related equipment by using relevant O & M software and provides maintenance support to the customer, also detect and highlight existing transmission deficiencies and predict possible future deficiencies and congestions.
