NEI is the the general agent of TUV Rheinland (www.tuv.com) and Intertek (www.intertek.com); international leading companies which provide inspection and products certifications worldwide; we help customers improve performance, gain efficiencies in manufacturing and logistics, overcome market constraints, and reduce risks.
Duties and achievements:
• Our team consists of 20 colleagues. My duties are managing and monitoring the team closely to increase the quality of work, ensuring that capacities are continually and precisely measured and assigning inspections tasks for clients in Jordan, and MENA region on behalf of our principals.
• Developing annual sales and marketing plans for the company and following up international sales leads. My sales portfolio includes more than 100 local and international clients. Our sales revenue has been increasing around 10 % annually since 2013.
• Managing international conformity programs in Jordan and ensuring our inspection procedures and outcomes are incompliance with principal requirements.
• Verifying and reviewing the implementation of project’s technical requirements and assure its compliance with applicable standards, specification and codes.
• Managing and performing quality inspections on relief items on behalf of international organizations such as, ICRC, UNHCR, UNICEF, and Care.
• Training and keeping team well informed of changes within the organization and general news related to their work scope.
• Negotiating contracts and ensuring that they balance value and risk.
• Performing feasibility study, capacity and technical evaluation and pricing for
tenders and RFQs.
• Draw guidelines and implement departmental policies, forms, objectives, and
procedures.
• Developed and implemented ISO 17020 (General Criteria for the Operation of
Various Types of Bodies Performing Inspection).
NG (www.naouri.com) is one of the largest logistics companies in Jordan. It represents a number of the largest international logistics companies in Jordan and Iraq (Evergreen Shipping, Hyundai Shipping, Destination of the Worlds, JAS forwarding, Intertek, TUV Rheinland, and many other international companies). It is considered one of the leading shipping and logistics groups in these countries.
Duties and achievements:
• Taking the initiative of starting new developments, expansions, ideas and business and making appropriate recommendations to further improve performance. Have succeeded in achieving the following:
o Expanded NG freight forwarders network by signing agency contract with: Hanjin logistics, Savino Del Bene, Consolidate Cargo Shipping.
o Expanded NG shipping lines by approaching new markets and have signed agency contracts with: Arkas and Salamis
o Initiated two new services; Local Distribution within city limits and warehousing solutions at airport free zone area
o Acquired authorization to provide wide inspection services locally on behalf of TUV Rheinland www.tuv.com .
• Improving the existing services in coordination with executive mangers and NG supporting divisions and developing new plans and strategies to help the processes run more effectively.
• Meeting with key clients and explaining to them the services offered by the company and group (LG, Samsung, Zain, Del Monte, Tropicana, Petra Engineering Industries, Natural Care for Cosmetics, etc.)
1- Developed and implemented ISO 9000 systems for shipping, freight forwarding, custom clearance, travel and tourism companies.
2- Developed business guidelines and roadmaps for various collaborative scenarios, including upstream suppliers, shipping companies, and retailers, which reduced demurrage and delays in shipping.
3- Facilitated information flow between importers, exporters and shipping line operation to enhance the effectiveness of the supply chain management.
4- Acted as coordination officer for Golden list program between 3 companies in Naouri Group and Jordan Customs Department (a program derived from a U.S program called Customs -Trade Partnership against Terrorism (C-TPAT). A program hosted by Jordan Customs department which aims to secure the supply chain and facilitate the entrance of goods world wide).
5- Acted as project coordinator between NG and the Global compact program. (A United Nations program related to human rights and labor policies).
