In charge of Supply Chain Management for the procurement of items from suppliers situated around the Globe.
Procurement of items including food, packing materials, equipments, uniforms, spare parts, etc.
Identify potential product suppliers and assess demand/supply capacity constraints. Finding new suppliers and negotiating the terms and conditions of business for all procurement requirements
Inventory control by maintaining sufficient buffer stock and analyzing the consumption pattern for each and every item from time to time. Trade-off between investment level and the risk of running out.
Cost saving by means of negotiation and price comparisons between the potential suppliers. Negotiating with supplier based on business volume and creating competition among similar suppliers. Obtaining the lowest possible cost to maximize the profit.
Product localization by means of local market study and maintain consistent flow by means of short-term contracts with the supplier.
Support other functional groups to develop and roll out new product launch. Maintaining the supply of quality products as per the required operational standards, a most important function, to provide uninterrupted supply of approved quality products within desired timeframe, no compromise on the product’s quality whatsoever.
Sourcing by understanding the product sensitivity in terms of its characteristics, storage constrains, shelf life and sales life cycle. Be aware of business changes, which would affect supply of goods in a fast changing environment, work with a backup plan to overcome these challenges.
Compilation of proper data concerning the product consumption history, market trend, sales forecast, promotional campaign calendar to execute important decisions.
Consolidating different goods from different suppliers for cost effective shipments.
Working under limited supervision to complete complex assignments within given deadlines.
