After the important experience on the retail side of the business, I accepted the challenge to enter in the Volkswagen Group owned Italian Branch of MAN with the position of Commercial Director Truck and Bus.
The following functions are reporting to me: Truck Sales with 1 Responsible and 4 Area Managers managing Sales, After Sales and the whole Dealer Network;
Direct Sales with 1 Responsible and 5 Key Account Managers;
Sales Branches with 1 Responsible following 10 salesmen;
Sales Planning and Distribution with 1 Responsible and 3 employees;
In addition I'm following the Bus Division that is composed by: 1 Responsible;
5 Area Managers for the Touristic Channel;
1 Business Developer for the Public Channel;
2 people fully dedicated to the Public Tender Office;
5 people following the Bus After sales Business;
Considering me and my Secretary, in total we are 46 people.
From January 2011 a brand new Toyota and Lexus dealership entered in the family with a total additional volume of 1500 Toyota and 150 Lexus.
My responsability was enlarged, in addition to the BMW/MINI and MB/Smart dealerships, having been appointed as Board Member and MD also for the Toyota/Lexus business.
2008/2012 at Bonera Group (Brescia)
I started this new exciting experience, on the retail side, in a very big group of dealerships operating in the premium segment with a lot of projects finalized during my stay.
The Group is composed by a BMW dealership, Dinamica Spa, that finished the year 2012 with a sales volume of 1.000 BMW and 300 MINI and an historical MB company, Bonera Spa, with over 40 years of history, that ended 2011 with a volume of 1.500 Mercedes and 500 smart with 180 working people
2007/2008 at Mercedes-Benz Italia (Roma)
I've been hired as Managing Director Mercedes Benz Cars that means responsible, for the whole market, of the brands Mercedes Benz and smart with a total volume of sales that, in the year 2008, was over 110.000 units sold.
I was responsible for Sales, Marketing and PR and I was representing the brands (MB and smart) in the Italian market with an organization of 85 people reporting to me.
I had the responsibility of volume and profit of the business unit and I was reporting to the Worldwide Sales Director in Stuttgart.
From July 2001to 9/07 Sales Director.
The Sales Director reported to the CEO and the position has been developed and enlarged over the years with several important steps.
The following functions were reporting to the Sales Director: Region North ( located in Milan) 19 people taking care of BMW, MINI, After Sales Business and Dealer Marketing BMW/MINI;
Region South (located in Rome) 18 people managing the same functions as Milan;
Dealer Development and Business Management 10 people;
Corporate and Direct Sales 11 people;
Commercial Planing 2 people;
Used Car and Re-Marketing 10 people;
In total, considering me and my Secretary, 72 people.
Inside the BMW Group I had the opportunity to manage a tremendous growth both in term of volumes and dealer network organization.
Also thanks to the success story of the MINI brand the sales volume, 36.000 BMW units in 1999, have been, in the year 2007, 75.000 BMW and 20.000 MINI.
These achievements have been made without loosing the focus on brand image, customer satisfaction and dealer profitability.
1/99 to 7/01 Field Operating Manager, responsible for the sales volumes of the whole market.
14 Zone Managers were reporting to the position together with the Used Cars Marketing dept. (18 people in total)
