Providing UMOJA end user support which includes Login error, Application
connectivity error and escalating application error within the system to the relevant
teams.
* Help Desk Support which include using DAMEWARE (Remote Access software to
Assist client in remotely)
* Proficient in use of INEED Service Desk Support software.
* User support in EIDMS Web based software for Assisting clients to login into
UN Base software. Provides user credentials for INEED and UMOJA
* Connecting and Supporting Translator Equipment (BOSCH) in UNSOA meetings.
* Patching of cables in the control room
* Specialization in H.P Desktop, Laptop and Notebook support.
MAINTENANCE AND WORKSHOP MANAGEMENT
Duties under this position entails system support mainly to the UN staff, Computech clients.
My daily roles include-
* ICTS Service desk (Call center)
* HP support
* Warranty Replacements,
* Organizing Service Teams (machine maintenance team) in their daily roles.
* Handling the help desk for clients. Set-up Conferences at the UN.
* Addressing focal points needs in regard to equipment upgrade.
* Administrative roles related to the job.(Following up with H.P warranty calls for the
whole of United Nations Nairobi Office and
MAINTANANCE
My duties in ILRI included setting up client machines, ensuring smooth running of client
systems, liaising with the company head office, following up on Warranty issues, setting up
the new ILRI labs.
MAINTANANCE
During these orientation period in First Computers my duties included - email support,
setting up of conferences, servicing of client machines, being part of the CISCO migration
from 3Com Team - where I gained a lot of networking knowledge and experience.
4.0. PERSONAL ACHIEVEMENTS
Among some of my IT achievements are -
* Setting up H.P blade servers at intercontinental Hotel Nairobi where I played a key
role in setting up servers and the Racking cabinet from scratch cabled it. My team
(my supervisor -Edwin Kiiru and I were able to successfully install the HP serves in
3 record days - which received high client satisfied. The project enabled the client to
use their server in the billing system and we haven’t had any complaints from the
client.
* I was part of a “winning team” that earned Computech a contract at the UN due to
high recommendation to the UN staff and other clients.

* I was also a part of another “winning team” that earned Computech the HP East
African Breweries contract due to customer satisfaction.
