Preparation of Project specific Vendor List for the approval of Client/Consultant
Pre-qualification of the Potential suppliers
Compiling of Bid packages and issue Request for Quotation (RFQ)
Receiving of bids and preparation of commercial bid summary to arrive at Purchasing strategy
Arrange pre-award technical meetings involving the Engineering department, Project Manager and Supplier representatives to freeze the technical requirement
Conduct price and commercial negotiation to optimize the purchases within the budgeted amount
Preparation of material submittals and compliance statement according to project specifications.
Expedite the Consultant for the timely review, approval and return of engineering data submittal in order to initiate manufacturing
Preparation of Material schedules with required lead times for quantity take-off, quotation, cost appraisal and PO with delivery periods
Provide inputs to the sales department for pricing of projects
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
Periodic evaluation of qualified and pre-qualified suppliers
Review and manage stock levels of items and action plan
Prepare payment certificates and co-ordination with finance department for invoicing
Responsible to control and monitor project total expenditure including verifying and checking of invoices and claims from suppliers, vendors and subcontractors to ensure that all project expenditures are captured and properly recorded
Provide planning and cost controlling support for all projects which includes variation reporting, monitoring of milestone progress to the preparation of customer billing processes, etc
Perform project costing related reporting to the team and management’s review on a monthly basis to ensure that expenditures are kept within the project budget
Provide cost control and planning advice to project management team as and when required.
Manage MEP issues and ensure adherence to all policies, procedures and standards using specified drawings, within budget and on program.
•Reviewing approving the contractor’s technical submittals and method statements for the execution of work.
•Attend technical coordination meetings to discuss contractor’s submissions, shop drawings, material submittal documents and design related issues.
•Inspect work done by the contractor to ascertain work is executed in accordance with contract document and accepted practice.
•Inspection of equipments and materials bought by contractors for quality and ensure all materials are as per specifications.
•Carry out final inspection for certification of final completion and handing over of the works.
•Monitoring overall work status and appraise Client/PMC.
•Inspection and monitor works during testing and commissioning.
•Ensure overall costs stays within total budget
•Review and supervise measurements submitted by contractors and provide value additions if any during billing.
•Meet with Client on a regular basis to appraise observations and provide recommendations to improve work quality and output.
Responsible for preparation, submission and discussion of technical submittals with tenders.
•Scrutinize and evaluate tenders.
•Negotiating with customers on technical and commercial terms for finalizing the project.
•Providing inputs for preparation of shop drawings.
•Cost control for the HVAC projects to maintain projected margins.
