♦Project management - Preparation of Schedules with the use of soft wares e.g. MS Project, Primavera
(P3 & P6); MS Excel, etc. with respect to available or reachable resources (Manpower, Equipment and
Materials).
♦Project evaluation and control with respect to baselines set on schedule and cost using SPI & CPI
♦Preparation of progress reports on weekly/monthly basis.
♦Construction crew performance analysis on daily/weekly/Monthly basis.
♦Coordination of activities at both Branch office in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and project site activities
on Abrekete to Mecheta Asphalt road project (102.5km long with 7 bridges and several retaining walls,
box culverts, pipe culverts and drainages).
♦Provision and coordination of relevant project resources for the project from branch office and UAE.
♦Preparation of method statements for onward submission to project client via consultants.
♦Coordinate and preside over management meetings periodically on behalf of the Deputy Country
manager.
♦Representation of the Deputy Country Manager in progress meetings with clients.
♦Resolution of Right of Way issues with host communities.
♦Coordinate monthly IPC internally for onward submission and approval by client.
♦Monitoring and reporting of quarry activities to top management on daily basis.
♦Record and update project variations & claims
♦Risk assessment and control
♦Preparation of periodic budgets and updating of project cash flow from start to completion date.
♦Coordination of subcontractors’ activities to ensure availability of required resources at all time as well
as being on schedule and required quality.
Tasks:
♦ Project management - Preparation of Schedules for Rivers Monorail Project with the use of
Soft wares e.g. MS Project, Primavera (P3 & P6); MS Excel, etc. with respect to available or reachable
Resources (Manpower, Equipment and Materials).
♦ Issuing of daily/weekly/month project target to the construction team according to approved schedule.
♦ Preparation of daily production report.
♦ Project Cost control using baseline progress and costs.
♦ Evaluate periodic cost of production versus value of actual production for comparism and control sake.
♦ Generate, maintain and analyse a running/cumulative man-hour for the Rivers Monorail Project by the
Use of graphs.
♦ Periodic project performance analysis to arrest and avoid delays.
♦ Generate and update material tracking sheet to monitor long lead procurement items.
♦ Risk assessment and control.
♦ Prepare and issue periodic progress reports with progress pictures attached as required by management.
♦ Prepare/verify periodic project progress with client’s consultant so as to prepare monthly evaluation.
♦ Attend progress and technical meetings with client and consultant.
♦ Develop and continuously monitor a schedule of ‘action plan’ for follow - up sake.
♦ Record causes of delay (e.g. Rainfall, Communal crisis, technical queries, variations & safety drills
♦ Material receiving and reporting based on ISO requirements.
Prepare schedules in MS project, Primavera (P3 & P6);monitor project progress; Study and establish the rate of new activities execution and comparing with the total man-hour consumed; Give relevant advise to project managers periodically;Issue Project execution plans;Issue periodic reports with progress photographs attached.
Scrutinize approved for construction drawings & BOQs and method statements;Plan periodic activities; organize the sites; Supervision; Organize permit to work PTW) on daily basis; Issue site queries; Issue daily, weekly and monthly progress reports; Attend progress meeting with client and sub contractors
Organize and implement quality management system ISO9001-2008; Inspect construction materials and issue material receiving and inspection report (MRIR); Inspect civil activities and issue Quality Control and Inspection Report (QCIR); Issue Inspection Tests Plan (ITP); Carryout laboratory tests like slump test, Plate bearing test, Cone penetration test, Pile load test, Field density test, Issue punch-lists at close of projects; Issue completion certificates to project managers at the completion of projects. Periodic auditing/calibration of QAQC department and laboratory equipment.
