I am responsible for Tools Mobilization, Inventory, daily operation and reporting to town base. Attend Pre-spud meeting, provide BHA selection, Hydraulics, BHA Analysis, Bit selection and represent them to Operators. Verifying Well plan, Anti-collision, and performing Directional Drilling as per well plan trajectory. Executing Directional Drilling Operation (Deviated, High Angle and Horizontal wells). Reporting to client on daily basis, and discuss any Drilling problems with clients as well as to town base. In Drilling Operation, as DD Engineer, responsible of Well trajectory, hole smoothness, hole problems, preventing hole from kick and loss that could lead to stuck pipe by adjusting Drilling Parameters. Strong knowledge and experience of LWD Operation ( Geosteering, Resistivity, Neutron Porosity Log Interpretation) which is good for Geology/lithology understanding. Good knowledge and experience with Mud properties. Basic understanding of geological areas, offset logs, topo maps, hazards, environmental requirements. Research offset wells for drilling operation challenges - i.e. abnormal pressure zones, deviation problems, lost circulation possibilities, etc prior to execute the well. Basic knowledge Casing designs, Cementing, and Coring. Data collection and management of drilling operations. Strong Safety and Environmental knowledge (All Drilling safety requirements for Offshore and Onshore Rig).
- General Personnel Management as Team Leader.
- Directional Drilling, Thorough knowledge of Drilling System, products and services. Perform correction run, side track and kick off wells, Deviated wells (Slant-type, S-type), high angle and horizontal well.
- Use DD techniques to execute well and understands well geometric, well planning as well as survey computation and validation.
- BHA Design/Analysis, Hydraulics, Well Planning.
- Bit Recommendation and Evaluation to client.
- Run Single Shot and Multi shot.
- Lead DD: selecting drilling equipment and visits clients before and after trip to the rig.
- Strong knowledge of Drillstring Interference, External Interference on Survey Quality (recommended on Anti-collision issue).
- Drilling Optimization: Able to combine Shocks and Vibrations Data (from MWD tools) to prevent Stick-Slip, Bit Whirl, BHA Whirl, and Bit Bouncing.
- Drilling problems: Well control, Stuck pipe, Lost circulation, Drill string failures, hole cleaning.
- Wellbore stability: Recognizing Fractures, LOT, Caving Analysis, Annular pressure (from APWD tools), preventing borehole collapsed.
- Reporting: Ability to generate concise EOWR reports (BHA Analysis, KPI, Motor, Bit, etc). Creation of the functional and technical reports with process improvement analysis based on these reports (Lesson Learned and Best Practice).
- Computer literacy: Understanding of computer application within the proposed job environment; Schlumberger (Power Plan & DD-Toolbox), JDIL (Winserve), Sperrysun-Halliburton (Compass & PlanIT). MS-Office; Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Adobe program.
- Logistics: Material delivery/QC/Tool Manifest IN/OUT, Inventory.
- Train, assessment, appraisal the DD trainees.
I have been working for Schlumberger, Drilling and Measurement, as LWD Engineer for 6 year, deliver services to Chevron Texaco (Caltex Pacific Indonesia), PERTAMINA (National Oil Company) in Duri. CNOOC, ChonocoPhilips in China. My Previous job, I had been worked also for Paper Industry for 4 years as Senior Electrical and Automation Engineer.
Technically, As MWD/LWD Lead Engineer I have run mostly Surveying tools for Direction and Inclination measurements (SlimPulse&Power Pulse), and also Logging While Drilling tools (Compensated Dual Resistivity, Vision Resistivity, GeoVision Resistivity, and Geo-Steering Tool) which measures the Resistivity of the formation. Make and QC the log prior to deliver to clients.
Based on my educational background and several experiences majoring in Horizontal and Directional Drilling operation, always work in mobile situation and work under pressure. I hope that could be benefit to help and support company business operation
Responsible for Repairing and Maintenance Motors, Drives, Main Control Center, Sensors, PLC (Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, Siemens), IPC, CNI. Installation, commisioning and start up Plant.
