Let me introduce myself first, my name is Gourab Chakraborty. i am an assistant professor at mechanical engineering department in an private engineering college in west Bengal (SDET- Brainware Group of Institution). I have completed my master’s study on mechanical engineering in 2011. And since then I am involved with academics.
I have guided many a few aspiring engineers in their final year project work. Although i am a mechanical engineer but somehow i felt the role of material science has a deep impact in the subject.
In the recent work I have tried to explore the characteristics and behavior of a special grade steel.
My interest area lies with welding on different grades of steel and prediction of weld failure under tensile and fatigue load.
The applicability of steel is everywhere.so, The failure pattern of weld joints would be an important parameter to find out the life of weld joints.
