Client side project management consulting roles leading on technical and management of giga projects within the Kingdom.
The work is often confidential and includes providing detailed technical and strategic advice on building procurement, regulations & standards, dealing with high profile and fast-moving issues around decarbonisation and the impact of the London Grenfell Tower fire tragedy. Assisting ministers in discharging functions under the Building Act 1984 and other associated policies of government. Stakeholder engagement cultivating strong relationships with local building control authorities, contractors, and other vital stakeholders. Ensuring transparent communication and timely resolution of concerns.
Elevated to leadership of NEOM’s multi-discipline technical advisors & project management team, based at the site offices (CP1) Sharma Bay, undertaking a key role as an integral part of the NEOM leadership Design & Construction Group reporting directly to the NEOM Executive Director of “The Line”. Applied and developed robust risk assessment and mitigation strategies to pre-empt potential project challenges. I slashed the usual procurement time for appointing external designers and contractors, achieving a fast-track start of the geotechnical and piling works on-time, via determination and implementation with a proactive and robust plan. An emphasis upon ensuring an integrated design approach to ‘Safety in Design’ within the mainstream ERs and PRs.

• Key design consultant liaison and tender planning & procurement
• Geotechnical specialists surveys/testing aligned to project constraints.
• Review of master-planning (Stage 2B DMP), Pre-Concept Design (Stage 2C), Initial Asset Brief (Stage 2D), and development of 3A for 10 modules
• Ensuring Technical team is duly preparing NEOM’s Employers Requirements documents and implementing the Employers Procedures
• PMP & Project Execution Plans preparation
• End-to-End Project Technical/Engineering/Design Management Oversight
Lead director of the engineering and sustainability consultancy’s London office. Reported regular updates to senior management and stakeholders, detailing projects status, challenges, and forward strategies. Introduced robust risk assessment and mitigation strategies within the design to pre-emptively address potential challenges. I implemented meaningful change with a cultural-shift bringing in higher-quality management recruits, driving improvement in Quality Assurance processes & procedures against a re-defined set of KPI’s. An emphasis was placed on innovative high-quality delivery of projects to the satisfaction of clients. Strategic leadership creating a strong technical vision and strategy, ensuring alignment with projects’ multi-dimensional objectives. Team mentoring of diverse groups of design managers, architects, engineers, a range of specialist in sustainability, geotechnical, BIM/GIS and other experts, 3rd parties including appointed architects, consultants, and contractors, fostering a collaborative, performance-driven environment.
