Coordinate frequently with Branch Programme Coordinators across AOU branches.
Part of the team in preparation of validation/revalidation of the BA and MA programmes
Compute and present statistics for the Annual Monitoring Report (AMR) for submission to Open University - UK
Review and approve proofs submitted by the faculty members
Review Faculty of Language Studies documents for factual information and grammatical accuracy.
Handle various review and editing tasks for other faculties and departments
Review and edit the M.Ed. programme validation documents for presentation to the UKOU for accreditation.
Review novels, plays, write review reports for the MA programme f
Review and format the MA documents for accreditation from Open University Validation Services (OUVS)
-Review, edit and format of course guides and course books
Member of the AOU Website Committee for review and edit all material published online.
Manage the Faculty of Language Studies (FLS) corner online and upload material using Microsoft FrontPage software.
Read, evaluate and edit papers submitted for publication
Confer with authors regarding changes in content
Verify facts, dates, and statistics, using standard reference sources.
Plan the contents of publications according to the publication's style, editorial policy, and publishing requirements.
Send final copy to the publishers in Lebanon
Review and check all material and texts of advertisements (as per set publication violation standards) prior to publishing
Check Ad material (CD’s, Zips, Floppies, color seps, B/W positives & craw material.) for grammatical errors, size accuracy, etc prior to handing over the same to the production Dept.
Monitor Ads published in other publications and prepare regular report.
Follow-up with Ad Agencies/Clients for Ad materials for Ad placements.
Maintain a database of Ad materials for future Ad insertions etc.
System Entry of Ad space booking, contracts & colour loading forms, Ad materials received (RAM numbers, size & date of insertion using ADVT software)
Coordinate with Credit Control Dept. with regard to payment discrepancies.
Follow-up with Ad Agencies about Ad sale approvals from the concerned govt. ministries, and Indemnity forms to be signed by clients.
Send reinstatements, undertakings & regrets to Agencies & Clients.
Market Research (PARC Software)
Research on clients’ customers (by age, by nationality, by sex etc.)
Media Monitoring & Analysis.
