As project manager I was responsible for overseeing numerous developments including the construction of infrastructure for 18 villas in Menorca, Spain. With strict budget and time constraints the position really highlighted the need for organisational, time-mangement and people skills. It was an extremely exciting opportunity and I learned a lot during the process. Some of my key responsibilities included managing clients and agents, devising creative marketing campaigns to develop the company's profile, market research and negotiating with buyers and sellers. Whilst at this position I successfully sourced financing for developments, negotiated the sale of numerous properties and oversaw the completion of the infrastructure for 18 villas in Spain.
As a Chalet Host I along with my co-host was responsible for the successful running of a 12 person chalet for the 2009-2010 ski season in Val d'Isere, France. The role demanded dedication, time-management skills and a very high level of verbal communication skills due to the constant interaction with guests. My duties included the preparation of breakfast, afternoon cakes and a three course meal for dinner. We also had to maintain an incredibly high level of cleanliness throughout the chalet and make sure the guests were satisfied with all of their needs seen to. It was a tough job but one which I relished, I love interacting with people and it really developed our characteristics and skills.
