I was in charge of planning daily curriculum, activities, and of the program’s annual budget for supplies. Additionally, because it was a small private program, I was the only teacher. I sent weekly summaries to parents, addressed any possible issues privately and appropriately. I included educating children about sustainability and the life cycle of food, and made a daily routine of composting. I also focused on teaching healthy teamwork and independent reliance suitable for the age. I would prepare the classroom and activities for each day and then clean the space for the music teacher following me.
I graduated with a 5.2 GPA and performed in competitive dance. I took classes in the Spanish language, that I ended up being able to teach Spanish to students that came after me, until I moved to Jordan last month.
