The Bankruptcy Specialist manages all loan portfolios through the current bankruptcy process. The candidate will work with clients to make sure certain deadlines are met. They will be able to properly coordinate all work assignments timelines on multiple projects, by managing time constraints and prioritizing accordingly. The individual should be able to multitask, while performing each task to the best of their ability with maximum accuracy. The Bankruptcy Specialist will work proficiently on job related assignments, in order to improve job performance and ensure effectiveness and efficiency. The Bankruptcy Specialist will also be able to effectively manage their time, to guarantee all assignments are completed within a certain time span. The Bankruptcy Specialist is responsible for developing a work relationship with Bankruptcy Courts, Counsel, and the Board of Trustees. The candidate for Bankruptcy Specialist will be knowledgeable about investor based requirements. They should abide by all policies and procedures, and comply with internal and external guidelines.
The Bankruptcy Specialist will be able to work in a fast pace environment and adapt quickly to change. This individual should be able to effectively handle a large workload and complete all assignments within a given time frame.
The candidate should have a comprehensive understanding of payments and be able to read and understand payment history. The Bankruptcy Specialist will be able to assist clients with prompt billing inquiries. The Bankruptcy Specialist will be able to effectively communicate with clients and customers and answer all client questions regarding payment and billing.
They will work with clients to file bankruptcy claims. The Bankruptcy Specialist should be very familiar with the U.S. Bankruptcy Code, and will investigate bankruptcies that have been filed. Careful review of bankruptcy documents and information is essential to determine a client’s debt. They will be able to accurately classify a client’s debt as non-priority, priority, or secured.
This individual will work with attorneys regarding collection efforts. The Bankruptcy Specialist will report all findings to the unit manager and handle the loans in a smooth and effective manner.
