Work with the heads of mission, communications departments to develop and implement communication strategies, including activities and events for media in Sudan, which ensure a better understanding of msf at local and national level Together with the rest of the team to support the new MSF engagement strategy in Sudan With the goal improving the position in Sudan leading to improved access to target group. Monitor the Arabic as well as English media with an eye to humanitarian stories, issues affecting work, identifies trends and highlighting them, advice on appropriate actions and responses Regularly update and provide support for developing and updating local, national and regional media mapping Translate needed documents such as humanitarian update, Develop and maintain contacts with local media, keep informed of reports and Press released of key humanitarian actors in Sudan Together with operational centers and Arab Communication cell work on development and content of public communication materials (leaflets, brochures, web articles, audio .visual) including regular updates of msf activities in Sudan Prepare; disseminate factual media reviews of local media as requested, and to visit field projects to document msf activities, newsletters, and various other uses.
Radio Journalist
• Translation and editing audio ready for broadcasts
• Attending general daily news meetings or program meetings to discuss content, style and other programming and presentation issues.
• Reads presentation texts to the required level of professional broadcast standards.
• Following editorial guidelines, style and content as set by the Radio Management and Chief News Editor.
• Reporting for on air studio at a reasonable time.
• Delivering other tasks as assigned by Chief News Editor as new work developments require.
• Keeping standard presentation style;
• Upholding standards of broadcasting and radio editorial guidelines
• Transcription and archiving of audio materials for the web.
Media producer
• Reading presentation texts to the required level of professional standards.
• Following correct microphone techniques and studio operation standards.
• Following editorial guidelines, style and content as set by the TV Management and Chief News Editor.
• Reporting for on air studio at a reasonable time before start of broadcast.
• Transcription and archiving of audio and video materials
• Any additional tasks which might include out of station assignments;
