• Participate in client meetings to thoroughly comprehend the scope of work for any forthcoming project.
• Prepare a comprehensive challenge and risk report prior to project commencement, identifying potential issues and offering relevant solutions within the scope of my responsibilities.
• Lead team in analyzing meter schedule load data, billing data and alarms on Headends and Database to identify issues and propose solutions.
• Oversee meter data testing across various MDMS platforms such as KBK COSMOS MDM, Itron Meter Data Management (MDM), Oracle Utilities Meter Data Management (MDM) and Siemens EnergyIP. Additionally, coordinate testing with other Meter Data collection utilities including Utility IQ and Hexing MDC, collaborating closely with developers to implement software enhancements.
• Test database and APIs ensuring functionality with AMR Meters.
• Gain experience in adeptly overseeing Head-End Systems including Hexing HES, Itron HES, and Siemens HES, ensuring smooth meter data collection operations while upholding operational efficiency and regulatory standards.
• Oversee preparation for Universal Data Integration Layer (UDIL) Certificate testing at Pakistan International Technology Complex.
• Ensure team compliance with electricity metering standards like IEC Standards; meter accuracy (e.g., IEC 62053 series), meter testing (e.g., IEC 62052 series), and communication protocols (e.g., IEC 62056 series) and Communication Protocols: Standards like DLMS/COSEM (Device Language Message Specification/Companion Specification for Energy Metering).
• Deliver remote training sessions and conduct on-site visits to various data centers, offering comprehensive instruction to clients on AMI Applications and the operational features of Smart Meters, catering specifically to end-users of MDMS.
• I utilize meter data analytics platforms such as Itron Analytics, Oracle Utilities Analytics, and Siemens EnergyIP Analytics to extract insights, optimizing operations. These platforms are integrated with energy management, grid, customer, demand response, revenue protection, and asset performance management systems.
• Evaluate the technical proficiencies of AMI Team members.
• Acquire comprehensive insights into our competitors and disseminate this information to my team to enhance our in-house work processes.
• Initiating the introduction of new skills within the team to enhance both work efficiency and quality.
Job/activity is to learn and gain work experience on:
• Learn fundamental and advanced principles of AMI (Advance Metering Infrastructure) and AMR (Automatic Meter Reading) locally and globally.
• Understand the operation of Smart Energy Meters utilizing various communication modes, including GPRS, RF, and PLC.
• Analyse schedule, billing, and alarms data on various utilities as an Application Engineer.
• Familiarize and adhere to electricity metering standards in the workplace.
• Prepare office reports, meeting minutes, case studies, presentations, work progress updates, project timelines as needed, both internally and in response to client and vendor requirements.
• Engaged in the automation of billing for AMR meters across various DISCOs.
• Develop and deliver comprehensive documents outlining meter and Application specifications and operation in the form of user and operation manuals, tailored to the specific needs of clients and their role within the company.
• As part of a collaborative team, I contribute to User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for both internal and external projects, focusing primarily on usability testing and scenario-based testing.
• Conduct various meter tests, generate test reports and results, and offer essential feedback to the relevant departments.
• Collaborate with the team to ready meters and servers for testing at Power Information Technology Company (PITC) for the purpose of obtaining the Universal Data Integration Layer (UDIL) Certificate for AMR meters.
Job/activity is to learn and gain work experience on:
• Learn PLC communication protocols.
• Write ladder logic for ongoing projects (basic level).
• Design HMIs (Winteck, Mitsubishi) (basic level).
• Utilize TIA Portal, SIMATIC WinCC, Easy-Builder pro, GT Works.
• Design and commission electrical panels (basic level).
• Assist in installing and commissioning control panels on site.

• Operate and maintain Building Management System (BMS).
• Maintain electrical/plumbing in guest rooms.

• Manage pole base excavation, concrete filling, and assembly.
• Collect concrete samples for lab testing.
