Responsibilities:
• Managed a team of architects and engineers in assistance of the technical director
• Prepared Invitations To Bid contracts (ITB) worth millions of dollars for soil, hydraulics, topographic, concrete and infrastructure studies
• Directed and provided guidance in Technical Bid Evaluation (TBI)
• Supervised and followed up winning bidder works and deliverables
• Prepared technical inquiry requests (Inquiry Requisitions) to vendors
• Verified scope of work, budgeted man hours, budgeted quantities, total of deliverables, and format of delivery, time schedules and other specifications for execution of the work.
• Prepared design specifications and drawings for foundations structure design, slab on grade, retaining walls

 Established the project’s WBS, Scope, HR, Estimation, Budget, Cost, RFP's, Scheduling, Quality and perform change control
 Established Project management plans and SOP for the whole company

Responsibilities:
• Represented and promoted VJ tech (innovative soil and concrete testing equipment) by selling their products and technically supporting their clients in UAE, Kuwait, Qatar and Oman
• Worked on the development of a professional network in the construction and engineering domain in the UAE
Achievements:
 Wrote the technical submittals for geotechnical and environmental investigation of al Dhafra landfill site (Tadweer center of waste management Abu Dhabi) with Gulf geotechnical laboratory
 Advised on the work procedure for soil mapping project (client : Dubai municipality) with National geotechnical laboratory

Responsibilities:
• Developped detailed project budgets for supervision projects
• Monitored and managed project budgets and resource allocation, ensuring the adherence to allocated budgets and investigate reasons for budget overruns
• Ensured supervision projects are delivered on schedule and on budget
• Managed client relations, including managing project expectations, sharing project progress and issues / risks and responding to client clarifications on technical and contractual issues
• Designed the structures of foundations and retaining walls for 2 critical buildings and 3 villas
• Suggested several creative technical and economical solutions for 2 of our largest clients
• Trained 200 engineering students in soil mechanics and geotechnical design while teaching at the Beirut Arab University
• Set up design specifications and drawings for many foundations and earth retaining structures
• Wrote over 10 technical reports on different topics (foundation, earth retaining structures, sea wall, landfill, dam)
• Obtained soil parameters by assigning and monitoring various soil site investigation tests
Achievements:
-Set up the Soil Testing Laboratory from scratch at the Beirut Arab University
-Convinced several experts and high level political leaders for a landfill solution for the country’s waste management challenges
-Increased the company’s turnover by 200% through promoting tailored project solutions
-Successfully studied and suggested out of the box recommendations to rescue a failed dam project worth AED 110 Million of value.

Project: Extension of Port Tripoli (Budget: AED 246 Million)

Mouawad Edde is one of the leading regional names in construction and project management involved in key projects in Lebanon and the Middle East.
Responsibilities:
• Monitored the construction work of more than150 workers and 5 subcontractors
• Assisted the project director in establishing site organizational plan to increase work productivity
• Collaborated with the consultant for the elaboration of the onsite batching plant for concrete pavement
• Discussed design modifications with the consultant for manholes design and foundations
• Supervised the execution of earth works, foundations, manholes casting and installation (over 150 m3 of concrete casting/day)
• Prepared work progress reports from scratch (daily report, weekly report and monthly report)

Achievements:
-Resolved conflicts with the consultant which avoided more than 3 months delay
-Increased work productivity by 50% (200m of duct bancs/day to 300m of duct bancs/day)
-Resolved design problems (light pole foundations and type A manhole design) after being on hold for more than 6 months
-Reduced foundations concrete volume by 25% which induced more than AED 185K savings in concrete

Project: PCB Axelera cleaning program (budget: AED 40 Million).
The project was conducted between SITA FD subsidiary of Suez Environnement, one of the world leaders in environmental management and LGCIE, one of the well-known applied research laboratory in civil and environmental engineering
Responsibilities:
• Planned, Designed and Implemented the project from A to Z (AED 1.2 Million, 3 years project)
• Collected, analyzed and discussed over 500 Soil testing results on polluted dredged materials and geosynthetic clay liners
• Innovated and executed a pilot scale test based on the landfill facilities (Execution of field work, site sampling and investigation, instrumentation, supervision, data collect and analysis)
• Wrote technical reports and scientific articles (English, French)
• Led a group civil engineers and master students in the planning and execution of their final year project
• Presented and debated my works in front of experts in international conferences
• Coordinated the execution of work between the industrial partner and the research laboratory
Achievements:
-Allowed the company, to predict long time behavior of landfill by developing a numerical model to study the water flow and pollutant transport in dredged materials
-Implemented a Landfill solution that was the only one selected in the PCB Axelera project final report
-Reduced the project budget by 20%
-Won AED 400K of new client contract and expanded the laboratory activity.
