SB Group of Companies, a market leader in Day old Chicks, Poultry Pharmaceutical and Poultry Feed manufacturing in Pakistan. As Accounts Officer - Tax my core responsibilities included;
To identify tax savings opportunities which are available to the company under different tax rules and laws applicable in Pakistan.
Providing guidance to accounts department relating tax matters in recording of day to day financial transactions in order to avoid penalty from tax authorities.
Ensuring the accuracy, in term of head of accounts and financial accuracy, passed in general ledger of accounting system of the company.
To monitor e filing of income tax and sale tax reports to tax authorities. Planning activities to avoid tax related errors in company's financial statement.
Prepare ageing analysis every month.
Pass necessary journal entries & prepare cash trial and bank reconciliation statement.
To co-ordinate and facilitate external auditors during the annual audit of the different companies under the group.
Monitor inters group settlements and consolidated financial statements of different companies.
Respond and answer to tax authorities in case of notices under different section of tax rules and laws.
Documents financial transactions by entering account information.
Planning, supervising, and handling ongoing audits assignments.
Developing and finalizing Expressions of Interest (EOI) and Financial proposals.
Preparation and finalization of yearly accounts in accordance with the Companies Ordinance (1984) and International Accounting Standards IAS.
Review of internal controls implemented in the organizations, identification of weaknesses and advice on modification of the systems to further strengthen and make them more effective and efficient.
