I worked as “LEGAL COUNSELOR” in Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) in “Information Counselling and Legal Assistance for IDP’s” (ICLA-IDP) Project funded by different donors like UNHCR, ECHO and DFID at different intervals at 3a, Chinar Road, University Town, Peshawar from 27-07-2011 to 31-12-2014 with the following duties and responsibilities:-
o Provided professional legal information, counselling and assistance to NRC beneficiaries;
o Registered, processed and represented legal cases submitted by NRC beneficiaries in the courts;
o Reviewed, prepared and monitored legal claims for referral to other Organizations/Implementing Partners (IPs)
o Entered registered cases in the NRC database.
o Maintained a high level of personal & professional competence in all relevant fields of law governing the ICLA (Information Counselling And Legal Assistnace) mandate, and actively participated in internal & external coordination meetings to enhance and facilitate the implementation of the ICLA activities in Pakistan;
o Provided regular activity reports in all areas of responsibility.
o Conducted Protection Surveys in case of emergencies including in Bannu.
o Distributed Non Food Items (NFIs) when needed by the management.
o Successfully recorded & forwarded to the relevant stakeholders, the grievances of the NRC beneficiaries at Grievance Desk established at Peshawar-1 Haji Camp, Food Hub.
o Participated in different protection cluster meetings held in UNHCR and IRC offices.
Being Team Leader, I was responsible for report writing, dissemination of information, giving effective directions and trainings to the colleagues. I was also responsible for collecting the textiles and other re-useable things etc. for the purpose of gaining the main goal of our company viz; assisting research into the nature, causes, diagnosis and prevention of cancer.
I worked with this youth led and youth driven organisation/charity as a Collector where I was responsible for dealing and collecting the donations and textiles etc for the vulnerable community of the world so as to make a difference to the lives of those in need and played a role in the delivery of aid and assistance after major crises like the Pacific Ocean Tsunami and the Pakistan Earthquake etc.
Having the ability to work in diverse situations, I was responsible to render services for a sound environment at all levels & to maintain the security of the valuable things in stores and the buildings including corporate offices. I had to maintain Log Book and Incident Book on a daily basis by reporting each and everything in writing.
I worked with this company as a debt collector which involved me to contact defaulters on telephone in different states of U.S for the collection of their debts. For this purpose, sometimes I had to extend their time limit to get paid off their loans once for all by firm negotiations & sometime offering them concessions under certain company limits
I just studied the Business administration Subjects.
