To lead and manage business critical project.
Lead business engineering team comprising of mechanical maintenance, E&I maintenance and projects to operate in a climate of continuous improvement and being accountable to ensure that all work is aligned with business critical success factors. Moreover, this role is pivotal in the management and control of the site's technical documentation, modifications to the operations of plant and equipment, ensuring compliance to engineering standards. The position reports to Operations Manager.
Key responsibilities are:
• Management of the identification, selection, definition, and execution phases of capital and major operating projects.
• Ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget and meet customer requirements.
• Developing, implementing and governing a robust change control process that guarantees changes to plant and equipment are managed effectively to the appropriate technical standards.
• Provide input into long-term planning including Resource Development Plan, Life of Asset, 5 year plan, 2 year budget and short range forecast
• Provide technical engineering support to the Production and Maintenance sections.
• Set the vision, strategy and long term goals for the Engineering Department including training, coaching and team engagement.

Lead mechanical maintenance team of urea plant on routine maintenance, shutdowns and turnaround, including personnel management, planning and budgeting of plant maintenance as well as capital projects, technical design review, bids and working documents, project management, and quality control. Monitored strict use of project management procedures and systems such as MS Project. Developed and monitored preventive maintenance plans. Monitored critical spares inventory. Conducted on-the-job training of apprentices . Developed TNA of team. Administered oral, written, and performance tests to measure progress and to evaluate effectiveness of training. Solved operational problems and provided technical assistance with equipment and process techniques.
