Working in Syria (Syrian humanitarian context)
• Design and improve research and development tools, and identify appropriate research methodologies.
• Develop and design data collection tools and questionnaires including the drafting, translating, and reviewing of assessment indicators
(household, key informant, FGD, etc.).
• Ensure regular reporting on research progress and participate in internal coordination meetings.
• Execute the planning, coordination, implementation, and follow-up of research activities in line with overall project objectives and
deadlines.
• Design full training flow and interactive training materials.
• Train the field data collection staff on research aims and tools and management and coordination of data collection and cleaning.
• Monitor field data collection in collaboration with REACH Field Managers and Senior Assessment Officers
• Monitor the quality of data collected, undertake appropriate checks on data collected in the field and resolve discrepancies and quality
issues.
• Contribute data analysis of key research findings and incorporate them into information products in line with research questions and
objectives, with the support of REACH data teams where needed.
• Produce factsheets and reports using InDesign and work closely with REACH GIS Officers to produce mapping outputs.
• Represent REACH in Cluster coordination meetings, donor presentations, or meetings with partner organizations as relevant.

-Working in Syria (Syrian humanitarian context)
-Ensure good practice in Mobile Data Capture form design, remote support, training on the design, and the surveys conducted according to the activity.
-Develop data collection tools and questionnaires including reviewing, drafting, and translating, in coordination with the field team, and conduct FGD, KII, ETC.
-Contribute to the process of designing and implementing surveys, focus group discussions, interviews, and follow-up on activities in coordination with relevant parties and field team.
-Conduct training sessions to train the field team on research tools, inform them about Data entry rules, how to assess beneficiaries, and how they can use our data collection tools correctly. -Collaborate with field staff to ensure that research design follows best practices for data quality and analysis, then design the surveys via the Kobo programming language.
-Supporting field staff with data analysis and ensuring that they accurately represent data in their work.
-Monitor the quality of data collected, undertake appropriate checks on data collected in the field, and resolve discrepancies and quality issues.
-Support the development of data collection methodology and tools.
-Maintain the strictest confidentiality of data and observe data protection and other associated guidelines by protecting the safety and dignity of beneficiaries’ details.
-Maintain research methods including sampling frameworks.
-Maintain the library of Mobile Data Capture forms for common project cycle data capture activities; reference at any time.
-Create huge excel tools, install the data on them, clean the data, and apply formatting and formulas to determine the illegible and eligible beneficiaries.
-Ensure data cleaning, analysis, visualization, and maintenance, plus reporting skills.
-Ensure data management in a timely and appropriate manner and to an acceptable quality.
-Track the activities of the main components and timely circulate main achievements and deliverables
-Perform Routine data processing and entry exercises and assist in data analysis and preparation of periodic updates.
-Work independently in a result-oriented multi-tasking and multicultural environment
-Provide regular progress reports to the Shelter and WASH Information Management Officer.
-Promote and share ideas for improvement and necessary changes in the activities.
-Ensure capacity building of project staff and transfer key skills.

- Register Syrian refugees and Jordanian citizens who interested in benefiting from NRC programs using different registration tools.
- Conduct registration interviews when required in accordance with registration standards and guidance.
- Enter feedback, registration information, and complaints from all channels into the CFM database.
- Maintain accurate records and data related to all individual registration cases.
- Enter data related to Syrian refugees, and other persons of concern to NRC into the computer database.
- Ensure functioning complaints and response mechanisms, through an effective collection of complaints from different channels.
- Ensure that the complaints are kept confidential and access to that information is in line with the guidelines.
- Handle large numbers of calls for the Centralized NRC Information Line (CNIL) to provide basic information/explanation about NRC programs and ensure timely response to beneficiaries’ inquiries.
- Act as translator from Arabic to English.
- Ensure the organization of the CFM database-level, including data entry, monitoring, and analysis.
- Ensure proper filing of documents to provide quick responses while using multiple sheets and databases.
- Refer cases to the relevant teams/focal points, then use referral follow-ups to ensure proper handling of cases.
- Refer cases to other units within the office and to implementing partners as necessary and ensure timely referral to protection follow-up as required.
-Collaborate with protection unit when it’s needed.
- Actively promote PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) standards & principles within NRC and amongst beneficiaries served by NRC (Protection staff).
- Act as a focal point for one of NRC’s core competencies. I was in charge to share periodic and regular updates with the team.
- Conduct awareness sessions for staff and beneficiaries to ensure that staff and beneficiaries are aware of the channels through which their feedback will be routed
- Prepare suitable SOP for different programs.
- Draft correspondence and reports relating to registration activities in the Operation, when required
- Commit to learning activities that benefit the workplace.
- Promote and share ideas to improve the area of expertise.
